I appreciate the loss from WW1 and WW2 and I watched many interesting programmes on Sunday. Most of which were about WW1.
I was quite surprised, perhaps a little sad that more recent wars were not mentioned especially Afganistan. A soldier died on armistice day in Afganistan. Just an observation, nothing more.
They should use the old butchers truck as his herse.
“Stop, one, two, three – Open, one, two, three, – Insert, one, two, three, Fire! – one, two, three” – or something like that!

Airline food is created more for it’s entertainment value than nutritional content.
After an 8 hour flight it is the highlight of your life to try and open the small pressurised milk and orange without splattering yourself and fellow passengers. It’s also an aquired art to be able to open, then cut the small rubbery cheese with the rubbery flexible knife and not have it fling across into club class.
Trying to eat all that food in such a cramped space BEFORE the trolly dolly comes around to whip it from you.
For someone who is 6feet tall eating airline food is similar to entering the krypton factor.
Immigration is an interesting subject.
When you consider how many immigrants have fought and died for OUR country then you realise maybe we have a duty to find a home for them. Great Britain was one of the few countries to offer sanctuary to the Jews leading up to the second world war. On reflection i’m glad we did. At the end of the day we are all immigrants one way or another.

Interesting. To think we had two in the UK at one time.
For me personally I don’t care if other people wear a poppy or if they observe the minutes silence. That’s the point isn’t it, that they have the `freedom` to choose? But I do care if that `point` isn’t appreciated.
I will wear my poppy and observe the silence.

Perhaps they can sell a couple of Spitfires for a Mosquito?
Would be good to have a new aircraft type in the fleet.
What aircraft is that?
Thought at first allied. Mosquito, B25, P38?
But it looks kindof like a Donier attacking a landing craft of some sort.
Do the RNHF have any plans to replace her?
She was my favourite from the fleet and quite unique.
At the opposite end of the spectrum didn’t a few WW2 fighters formate with a 747 one year at Weald? Anyone got a picture?
The closest I’ve seen was the Swordfish, Seafury, Firefly formation. Well, when I say formation the Swordfish would start at the runway end, the others in another county and they would `meet` at crowd centre!
Skyfall.
Overhyped mediocre `Bond` with an unconvincing baddy, unconvincing settings, unconvincing effects and an unconvincing ending. Saucy ladies though.
