A credit to you and your model making skills, it’s so good, that with a different backdrop, one would consider it to be the real aircraft, how long did it take you to complete the diorama?.
    Jim.
    Lincoln .7

Thanks for the positive comments :-). Took about 12 weeks to do both dio’s. See here.

I guess it could be. That particular Swordfish took part in the attack on the Bismark which crippled her, if infact it isn’t the one that did hit her (not sure).
I had intended to have the Swordfish attacking with the torp in the water but the perspective thing didn’t quite work. So I had it diving into attack from altitude.

    Bismark Fish is 1:72nd Revell.
The other is the Airfix new tooling. Quite impressed by the quality of the decals. They rearly conformed to all the lumps and bumps quite well. With the help of Decal Set and Decal soft that it.

I know we are in a CGI world but I like the old black and white Dambuster film.
It’s intelligent, has good dialog, great actors, is relatively authentic, and quite thought provoking especially the final 15 minutes. It’s one of my favorite films. I hope if or when they do the remake they do it justice.

Personally I couldn’t care less who wins. No particular reason. I’m not `there` so cannot influence the outcome. Not my deal.
However I quite like Obama. He seems pretty down to earth. Seems a nice bloke. The other chap (what’s his name?) seems a bit brash and a little too American, if that makes sense.
I just hope that whoever gets in they don’t drag us all into a war with Iran. Or drag us into a deeper recession.

    Suspended, shouldn’t that be fired?

When leaving Just Jane a few weeks ago I noticed the Pidgeons located by the Lanc exit. It got me wondering what was the purpose of the Pidgeon? Was it to be used in a ditching or a bailout situation?
I would expect a ditching but that poses the problem of what you would write on the Pidgeons message? If you had the presence of mind to note down your position when exiting the aircraft, by the time the Pidgeon got home wouldn’t you have drifted quite a distance?
I also wondered if any crewman attempted to rescue the Pidgeons in a bailout?
