Was Black 6 the only true 109 to be restored to fly, the other 109’s being composites of some sort. Re-engined Buchons, made from multiple airframes etc?

But I popped in to my local Wilko’s today and they are selling the new tool Airfix P-40C and P-51D for 4 quid each…as starter sets!

A 1/72nd scale hard plastic RAF Bomber Command Ground Crew and Bomber Crewman set!
They have given us the resupply set but no figures. We must have the most important and overlooked element of RAF Bomber Command!!!

BTW who needs 1/48 when you can get this with the new 1/72nd Lanc.

What year did the Duxford incident happen? Must have been before 1989 as I don’t remember seeing the aircraft.
I did see the 109 when it was in formation with Black 6, Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster at Biggin Hill. Must have been about 91.

What a shame. Seems these DB engined 109’s are having quite a bit of bad luck.
Did Mark Hannah fly one of these DB engined 109’s at Duxford. I was told he landed with a quit engine once?

Watched BBMF Spit PRXIX and Hurri LF363 take off from Biggin early evening, looking and sounding perfect. So much power with that Griffon, awesome. Then saw them both circle on finals low level! Nice:D
The concert should be good tommorow!

Interesting. Were these aircraft heading to Biggin Hill? They were flying in the opposite direction? Must be an air traffic thing.

Reminds me of the Beverly being broken up at Hendon.

Smells of Urban Myth to me.
He could have had a pretty good time with a pro for less than $2000 dollars!

I recall the TFC Hurricane taking a crow strike one Legends and having a sizable dent in the starboard wing.
Anyone know what hit the silver DC3 at this years legends? It had a huge dent plus blood smear near the cockpit on the Sunday.
