I quite like Dog Soldiers.
Unfortunately haven’t seen the Howling. AWIL has some nice Jenny Agutter nakedness.

The Avia B-35/135 looks like the Spitfires ugly deformed half sister.
Well, it did become the Nimrod and was kind of a combat aircraft!

The Swordfish was at Legends and Luton is on the direct route from Duxford to Yeovilton. The timing aligns with its return home – could it have been a low pass – did your son see it touch down?
Maybe it was landing with a problem? Had a problem at Legends Sunday and didn’t fly.
I find facebook okay for keeping track of hobbies and model making, general chatter and fun stuff.
As for a serious way to communicate with friends. Would rather pick up the phone or meet them for a beer. Much more interesting.
There are a lot of people on facebook trying to show everyone how great they are.

A fantastic couple of days at Duxford and another great Flying Legends. I am afraid the only blot on the landscape was the terrible commentary from Monsieur Chabbert, with lots of pauses, and errs!!… then prolonged silences. For me the commentator who described the Yak 50`s routine was brilliant, he was concise and to the point. Crystal clear to everybody, a pleasure to listen to. What happened to Spitfire P9374?,i would have thought that a routine with Hurricane P3351 would have been on the cards to highlight the lower surface camouflage schemes.
Come on, who can forget timeless classics like, “ze B17 has a wheel, on ze tail” – after a long pause – “it’s called a tail wheel”.
How many Joe Public are interested in the type of plane they are going to fly on when they book? Not many I would suggest. They may have a question when checking in, but by then it is too late to change their mind.
Popular consensus is that ‘someone’ left a coffee pot switched on, the safety switch did not trip and when the ground crew (?) came to move the aircraft, the destructive sequence commenced.
You have to admit though if a coffee pot can cripple a multi million dollar aircraft something is terribly wrong.
The theme to Schindlers List is pretty thought provoking, especially the second time you see the film.
Who can forget the attack scene in Apocalypse Now.
How about the original Superman. Possibly the most iconic film tune ever. The first few bars and you know it’s Superman!

I find then and now pictures totally fascinating, totally un-real. As if you are looking at ghosts or some sort of reality that didn’t really exist.
Especially when they are war related. Thanks for sharing.
The problem is the more incidents, the more bad press, the more operators will start to doubt the aircraft, the more share price will drop.
If the problems persist it won’t look good for Boeing.
Maybe the question should be, “how many airframes are available to the Red Arrows?”. I’m talking Hawks with Red Arrows mods, or could be modded for use?
He almost suffered from FOD damage.
