Croydon Airfield had Hurricanes and Blenheims dispersed near to houses at the end of the runway. One Blenheim ending up in one of the houses.

I still can’t believe with all the modern technology and systems on today’s high tech aircraft some form of inbuilt self preservation cannot be programmed. Stick shaker? Obviously better piloting is the answer but a stall is something completely outside normal parameters of safe flight. I would have hoped the computers could kick in and assist with?
