Did it cross nobody’s mind to go and help the guy?? I used to fly a Luton Minor, and in some situations it simply would not turn against the wind, though if there was room you could turn 270 degrees and exit on the heading you wanted. Watch how happy everyone is when you shut down and block the taxiway.

Numerous brakeless, tailskid machine are a handful in tight areas, and pilots will usually be most grateful for a competent wing-walker. Prop swingers who know what they doing are welcome as well.

    Propstirke,

I used to fly two lutons about 4 years ago from Waltham….what about yourself.

Yes true, but see the problem is a more delicate situation due to that the size of the A380 is considerably more than these other aircraft, all i can say is that i hope they work it out!

I hope they do sort it out. The problem is that airlines order these aircraft on the performance figures QUOTED by the manufacturer, if these are not met then it’s the airline that get screwed. It happened to our airline.

Sounds like a technical fault not an emergency.

    If history repeats,

The B777 was built on target and exceeded the performance figures by approx 2%. The A340-600 was overweight, and has been plagued by problems. It therefore is no surprise that now we here the A380 is overweight.

I flew with Southwest a couple of months ago and there were no parties or games on board. Playing up to the TV cameras I bet.

Business class customers with a separate check in, who think it’s OK to walk straight to the front of the regular class check in queue because they’ve paid more for the ticket. 😡

I know what you mean. When I travel Business class, I have to sit next to these ****. They moan about everything, want to swap seats as theirs isn’t suitable and generally make an arse of themselves. 😡
