I wasn’t a happy Frog today, went to the Post Office, to draw my weekly pittance , which is called the “STATE” (And what a State) Pension. Over half an hour of waiting, I finaly got served. Why don’t the Post Office have a “Parcels” only window?, then all those Ebayers would know what it’s like having to wait behind them.
    Jim.

Grumpy old Git. As a pensioner why the rush? You have all the time in the world, thats until you shuffle off this moral coil that is. :stupid:

Criminalising drugs hasn’t worked so far so why not give it a trial for 10 years and see.If it is done on the basis of being a W I P then review it.

Criminalising people drink driving hasn’t worked, should we try a trial for that as well?

I appreciate what Jim Linc 7 says but he dealt with the 1% that were trouble in his job,the other 99% of the population aren’t really trouble but the drugs are the reason for most burglarys etc in this country.
Most people won’t ever touch drugs, those that do are probably mentally half way there already. It MAY even provide a deterrent to those contemplating it if they see people who are affected by it may be turned off..

Legal or not money will still be needed to buy the drugs. You are correct drugs are the reason for most burglaries in this country. Would it matter if they are legal or not?

As for most people who do take are probably mentally half way there already, that’s a sweeping statement and not a positive one either.

Heres an idea, scrap foreign aid and every time the world has a natural disaster use that brass instead.

As for CiN, Terry Wogan doesn’t take a wage for presenting the show, he does it for free. I still find these charity marathons tedious.

It was me that said Wessex as I was driving at the time that I saw it and looked to be in a Wessex scheme. So not sure why you got so worked up about it?

I think you got the wrong end of the stick.

‘Is anyone here ever going to learn about helicopters?’ followed by smilies, I took as tongue in cheek.

Anyone as bored as I am with the annual Children in Need tedium?

    Moggy

    Yes!

I remember the Harry Enfield’s “Old Gits” sketch after they won the pools’

“Children in Need?” – throws wad of cash on the fire
    “They can stay in need”
“Minibus for the elderly?” – throws another wad of cash on the fire
    “They can walk”

    Classic.

Similar to ‘happy slapping’ but more extream.

I did see a you tube video of a couple of youths who slapped one guy, they picked the wrong guy, he was a boxer. I doubt they did it again.
