The problem is, operating RJs in Europe just doesn’t seem to work as well in Europe as it does in the US, they are too expensive.
Especially when they started off with only 10 passengers or so on their worst routes, they didn’t have anough money to do any advertising. In my eyes that was there biggest downfall. They had a seriously flawed business plan. 🙁

There has been very bad weather yesterdaynight and and the weather was still bad for a good part of the morning. This may have affected flying as well.
I noticed a lot of delayed AMS flights into EDI today too.
Oh yes, Jermagic! 🙂 But at one airlines fall, comes anothers rise, looks at Aer Arran, they seem to be going from strength to strength just now, and it probably helps operating the cost effective ATR compared to the ERJ.

Can you call ryanair a UK based airline?
I have not flown any Uk lowcost airline. But I can choose a Belgian one, however I don’t have any choice: Virgin Express:).
They are definitely UK based having their biggest base at STN, but they’re not UK…I don’t know what the word is….owned??
