I only stated that I perfer a little more detail in my reports. In my opinion I would give that trip report many marks.Thats my opinion and thats that.As for you Bmused55 i called somebody a name a few weeks ago and I was slaughered for it.I apoligised I dont expect or even want an apolgy but I have my opinions and nothing can change that.If I went around saying that every Easyjet fan was a gimp Id be roasted. As for me being a pain in the arse you can shove this trip report up your arse as well as everybody else.I disliked the report what do you want me to do say it was great.Have you read my report. If not do so and tell me what its like honestly.Id love if youd tell me its was utter s h i t e like yourself.

😮 Your’re going to regret that in the morning! 🙁 😮

Apparently it’ll be a completely new operation, except the same name because it is already a well known brand in Canada inparticular.
Could be a cheap way to SXM! 😀
GLAsgow, where are you getting 2 flights a week from?
They’ve not even announced their route network yet, never mind frequencies! The destinations on their website aren’t set in stone.
Infact nothing is yet, but I hope it works for them.

BA 737 were names after Rivers, 747 after cities (with the odd person included) 757 Castles, 767 European Cities, L1011 were originally named after roses.

Laker DC10 were all named ‘something’ Belle

Olympic 720’s were also named after rivers (SX-DBI = Pinios River I only know this because I have flown on this aircraft)

G-BNLB is City of Edinburgh, that’s the only one I know. For obvious reasons! 🙂

Fair enough – that’s rather sensible of them. It’s good that they get lots of good reviews and I hope my fellow Scots continue to make them a success up there. They seems to deserve the title “Scotland’s Low Cost Airline” – well more than Air Scotland do anyway! 😀

They are so much better than Air Scotland. Such simple things as cancelled flights. FLyglobespan never, Air Scotland? Way too often!

    Nice report BY738.

I would like to see flyglobespan expand even more and do very well in Scotland. Anyone any news on any new routes from them?

Latest news is that they have basically put their big plans on hold because of increased fuel prices. They hope to have 10 aircraft, doubling their fleet, for next summer I think.

Well my favourites… Either MAN/LBA/DUB and Las Palmas I really liked as well. But gotta be Malaga for me, very modern, and very spacious, great traffic, and I still really like it despite been stuck in there with a 3hr delay.

The worst.. Gotta be either Gerona or Corfu. I loved them both, but Gerona had such a lack of traffic when I was there which made it very boring, and Corfu.. same reasons as Rip Concordes Zante, 2 baggage claims.. not good when 5 flights land at once! Have always had to wait at least an hour, about 10 seats in the departure lounge, incredibly long queues at check in, one shop…. but I still love it. Just typifies the character of the Greek Isles compared to Spain and the UK.

Ah yes, Corfu is also bad, and would have been put worst if it wasn’t for Zante, if the Island wasn’t so amazing, the airport alone would be anough to put me off going again!
All Greek airports are the same, so I now know what to expect, and yet airlines still operate 767s, Dc10s, 747s etc. into these wee airports! 🙂
Infact there is multiple pics of a Lauda 777 at Corfu!

    From my personal experience:

best- Manchester- I had a 3hr delay their and still didn’t get bored, the airport is full of good vantage points air and land side and has all the facilities you’d ever need.

worst- Zante(Zakynthos), Greece. 1 small baggage reclaim area,(we arrived at the same time as about 3 other flights) half a dozen check-in desks, the hall was equally small. One shop the size of your average corner shop.
Pitiful amount of seats in departure area(no worthy in the slightest of being a lounge)
Infact, the whole terminal build could probably fit into the hold of an An225. 😉

maybe one of the continental 757’s was late or delayed so they departed near each other?

Talking of delayed CO 757s, the EDI flight was delayed for 2 hrs yesterday (19th).
