I think it need’s a clean
Hopefully it’s had one by now, it’s when they take stickers off like that that you realise just how dirty the aircraft can be, unless it is an AF or FR 732 aircraft! 😉
I’m touched! 😀 Are all the pics your own? Love the Concorde.
I’ll never forget all the times I saw it. Especially at EDI on the final day.
Shame I never got to fly it. 🙁 As a passenger, or as my aim in life- to pilot it.
The last bad hangover I had was a wee while ago now. You’re all such light-weights! :p 😉
Tailstrikes occur more often on landing when pilots are trying to pull off soft touchdowns by arresting the sink rate by too much flare. Also, a sudden downdraft can cause the pilot to correct the sink rate with pitch rather than power. Now couple these with the fact that the aircraft has (in some cases quite a significant) downward motion, the main gear suspension will compress on touchdown further reducing the tail clearance. On the 757-300 the maximum allowable pitch angle in the flare was just 6 degrees before the PNF would shout at you. This is just one of many reasons why the training is so extensive.
6 degrees! That not much! What’s the norm? about 10?
Didn’t say I was referring to the country, but more the actual location and name of the airport. 🙂
It’s the morning after, and the pilot isn’t feeling too great so proceeds to spew out the window.
Not much, maybe slightly more modern looking? and newer?
Never heard of the place! 😀
Marthas Vineyard?
Yes I think that is the case, but some airlines don;t seem to find it necessary. For example Qantas or Australian Airline didn’t dim the cabin lights on any of our take-offs/landing at night. Really quite annoying, because the glare meant I couldn’t see anything as it was out of the window.
Yes that gets to me too. I like take-off at night with the lights off, you get a good view out the window, then the lights come on and the window turns into a mirror!
Somewhere in the Scottish Isles?
Could be something to do with your eyes having to get used to the dark, if the lights stay on at night you won’t be able to see for a period of time if the lights suddenly go out…for whatever reason. 😉
I’ll ask on a.net for you because no-one seems to know here, and because I’m a generous guy. 🙂 😉
The Beluga transports Airbus parts, as the Guppy used to, it is basically it’s replacement.
Where did Queensferry come from?

That’s a Super Guppy, I didn’t think they are still flying.
