I suppose you’ll be wanting a tie-up of the stuff on the ground at MAN, then? :diablo:
Interesting pics. Where did you take them from?
The in-flight ones were taken from 19A on HMCC. :dev2:
Most the ones of the ground were taken at the end of the 26s by the perimeter fence, would have been much better if they were in use and not the 08s. The other few which included the bridge etc, were taken from a spot along side the runway, which we were promptly chased off from. :p
Absolutely superb Stuart, would love to get to Gatwick.
It was somewhere I had never been, which played a part in my decision, lots of interesting movements, Phuket Air is still grounded there aswell. Plus, as a bonus on approach we flew right over Dunsfold AKA Top Gear, if only I’d the camera to hand! Couldn’t see anyone going round the track anyway. 😉 S terminal is abit rubbish however, N terminal is nicer though.
Thanks.
Ignore me, I’ve just seen your signature!
lol, HMCC struck me as an odd reg when it showed! Would I be right in saying it’s the initials of someone? EZII is barely a month old, both were immaculate in side anyway.

The last few here are out of sequence and were actually taken at the beginning of the day, not as sunny, but just as hot! 😉

Off to Cleveland I presume.

The end. 🙂
Bulgaria Air, another new one for me.
Any Iron Maiden fans? 😉
G-CELK wins the prize for earliest rotation of the day! 😮 Atleast as early as the Aurigny ATRs.

Yep, another I needed to get as I was going to miss it’s departure. 😉 Chose to stay on the runway after it had slowed for a faster taxi to it’s stand, right next to the runway!

More:

This highlights the fact that the wrong runway was in use for ideal photo ops, landing aircraft were too far away, and departing aircraft were high over us. Never seen DAS Air Cargo before, so it was worth the pic. 😉

A late departure to the US, taken at 1607 according to my camera.
Air Meridiana, another I just needed to get as none departed.

Annoyed I messed up the DC10 pics, looks great in the new colours though!

This AA B763 had weight and balance issues so was sat at the holding point for a very long time.
The last B772 with a world tail!
View of the N terminal

Close-up of the new bridge, impressive structure.

A new one for me:
Aww, thanks alot all. 😉
Thanks for the comments everyone! I’m currently sitting in the terminal at LGW, with 1 minute 55 remaining on this internet. Didn’t catch any sleep last night, spent the evening sat around waiting for check-in to open. Assigned 36A for this morning’s flight, so if they’re on 08’s should get some good shots of terminals as we depart. WD, I use Photoshop7. It’s taken a while to use all the editing effecitvely, you have to find out what works best for different shots.
You spent all night at S terminal?! Having spent some of Monday there, that must have been a very rubbish experience. :p
Well I only payed £18 for my flights with them (PIK-STN-PIK) and they were on time so can’t really complain, however the cabin crew were kinda robotic and difficult to understand as they were foreign. I would fly them again, but I definitely prefer easyJet.
Hi all,
I was sitting on a Flyglobespan B736 (note there was only 20 people on it!!) this am en route from STN to EDI for the weekend and noticed the new smashing looking Boeing 777-200LR demonstrator parked up at the cargo area…..
Not too sure if anyone will be able to get snaps of it unless you are airside – of course where was my camera when I saw it? In the bloody hold!!! Arrrgh!!

The loads from EDI and GLA to STN are quite worrying just now given the amount of advertising the have done for the route! i.e alot!
The B736s must be losing them alot of money just now! 🙁
I thought the B772LR was going to LGW?
So, what’s the most interesting aircraft you have been on? By interesting, I mean something that probably no other forum member has and something that might be classed as rare.
For example, have you been on an aircraft that has since been involved in an accident and no longer operates, have you been on one with a unique colour scheme or something just as exciting?
You get what I mean. Try and post a photo if you can.
———————————–For me, this is the most interesting aircraft I have been on…

…I don’t think I need to explain why. This is the aircraft that flew me back from Thailand a few months ago. The flight was just as exciting. I knew before travelling that my Economy ticket had been upgraded to Evergreen Deluxe. On the day, I ended up in Business Class.
I only found out about the history of this aircraft upon my return, about 2 weeks afterwards. It was a bit of a shock I have to admit!
Well, with that criteria, it’d have to be TF-FIX, Icelandair’s only B753.
Nice report! 🙂
Your outbound aircraft reg was OK-TVR, with G-OTDA inbound, little correction, just incase you care. 😉 Your impressions of the B734 are shared with many others I have read.
Flyglobespan aircraft based at EDI just now are 3 B733s (2 operated by Channex), the B734 and a B736. The B734 meant to be going at the end of the summer season when it’s lease expires.
bmi regional’s MAN-GLA-MAN service is rarely full. Intensive competiton from flybe’s twice daily service from Liverpool and British Airways 4/5 daily flights from Manchester.
Flex 35
GLA? Sorry, the flights I posted were EDI arrivals, should have said that…
and as you mentioned it, GLA-LPL will be dropped at the end of summer. One less service to compete with…
They have an obligation to operate them if pax are booked dont they?
I’d say, and even if one was cancelled, two flights could be combined, not both cancelled! You’re flight with 15 pax wasn’t cancelled, and I can’t imagine loads get much lower, especially on a weekday evening with biz passengers too. Going by the announcements in the airport, the flights are full quite often, and look at all the faces in the window there: 😉

So whatever the reason, I doubt it’s passenger numbers, however low…
