More excellent pics, and it looks like G-CELZ is back at EDI too? That must be a very recent switch back.

I heard the report this morning, but at the time didn’t realise it was Loganair. 🙁 It’s only been a few years since they lost the Shorts in the Firth of Forth.
A sad day for all concerned. 🙁

Some canny shots there mate, a lot of charter activity at Edinburgh for the winter I see.
Haha, if only! 😉 They were Welsh rugby charters, taking the travelling support home.

Excellent pics, especially the CO touchdown shot, and look at all those charter airlines! That’s how it should be. 😉

Agreed.
Basing a 757 or two at EDI for example would have netted BA a good profit. As you say, CO have proven its viablility.
I think BA should be renamed to London Airways. LOLIts sad that there isn’t one single British airline that serves the majority of our large airports for Longhaul. Whatever airline decided to do that would rake in the cash!
bmi reportedly came close at EDI, but 9/11 put an end to that. 😡

A 777 is an expensive piece of machinery, especially for a start up Long haul service.
I think a 767 is a far more likely.
Maybe it is tied into the (any) B787 deal? If I remember rightly it is also there intention to own it outright.

Let’s keep this thread on topic chaps 😀
What equipment will GSM be using on long-haul next year, [i]if[/b] they start long-hul operations? B767?
According to the article I posted, B777 is what they are ‘hoping’ for.
