A330 has operated GLA-LAS at Max TOW in JULY with no problems in the past.

That’s my point exactly. Then the A332 has proven itself to be a capable performer off of the runway at GLA, and thus EDI.
The B7E7 has not had the opportunity to do this yet. It may need as much runway, it may need more.

AA BOS-GLA set to be announced shortly.

So I’ve been hearing for months now. ‘Shortly’ is turning into a rather long time it would seem. Looks like they’ve chosen Ireland over Scotland. Ah well. I guess there is still some hope.

Runway length isn’t so much of a problem for the twin jets at GLA & EDI.

It depends where their destination is I suppose.

Excellent news! Roll on the long haul aircraft! 😀
Although given the runway lengths at GLA and EDI I’d of thought the B7E7 is going to have excellent field performance, or Airbus might take the order with the A332?

According to good old ‘reliable’ PPrune Jet2 are about to announce this lot from MAN as well:

    Edinburgh, Glasgow, Madrid and Exeter

I’d love to see EDI, bmi and BA aren’t exactly cheap. But then PPrune lives off of rumours, so whether it happensor not remains to be seen.

Doesn’t look too bad, although the B744 suited the old livery very well.
Overall it’s an improvement on the old livery on the B772, B757 etc, but the jury is out on whether it is on the B744 or not. 😉

Furthermore the route with the highest ratio of Premier and Gold card holders is LHR-EDI and the most used lounge in Europe (outside London) is EDI

Interesting fact of the day number 1. 😉 Makes sense I suppose, all those people travelling on business.

I don’t think the MAN-NCL will work and i don’t want a big argument but easyjet operate B737-700’s and A319’s which only hold about 150 passengers. Thats 300 seats for a twice daily!

One way it is, clearly Mark L was referring to a return set of flights. 🙂
