Its all F-35 vs F-16 here..We all know by now that the F-35 is not a F-16, but a much larger and heavier jet.
It may have been the successor of F-16 or atleast that was the plan..
Is the F-35 more comparable with the F-15 in many ways?
Terence has a threesome…
We had a unique line-up today when Terence and Theresa the Tugs were joined by a visiting cousin from Essex. We don’t as yet have a name but we suspect from the rough and rustic looks that it is a male of the species, as Terence himself has not dissimilar looks. Theresa can be seen to be more caring about the way she presents herself…
Will the other two get cleaned and repainted to Terence’s standard?
Have to agree as there is no design authority or manufacturer support there is no chance of a return to the skies for Concorde
But hasn’t a very wealthy man said he will fund any attempts to get Concorde flying?
The only big thing I can think of that would get crowds to airshows isn’t RAF, Concorde!

I think 617 Sqns is self explanatory!
Talking big, a flypast featuring all of the aircraft operated by the RAF during WW2!
The B17 in DCW’s pictures doesn’t look right without any nose art, I can’t recall ever seeing a picture of a B17 flying during the war without any.

How difficult would it have been for the Arrows to fly slow enough or would the Spitfires and Hurricanes been flying at full pelt?
B52 landing at Duxford:

I think you can see the moment when it gained those ripples in the fuselage behind the c0ckpit…
Would a second parachute being deployed on landing slow the aircraft down much more?
A few pre airshow images from today at Duxford.
‘Wacky Wabbit’ ‘rode’ back into town late this afternoon. After being away for some 6 months T-6 Harvard G-BJST returned to Duxford showing her new colours.
Is this not it’s movie colour scheme? How many times have T6 Harvards played the part of Spitfires or Hurricanes in the background of aerial scenes?
A lone Hurricane is currently doing aeros flying around over Boscombe Down.
Is that a Spey?
G-VOID, flying over Weyhill near Andover this afternoon. At first I thought she’d have been flying from Thruxton 2 miles away but she is based at Old Sarum 12 miles away so she was probably flying from there.
Am I the only person mildly irritated by the fact that the 2 F-15 jet pipes seem to have different settings, one is more open than the other?
I hope they sort it out before they hang it up 🙂

No, me too!
The black radome shows aircraft is GR1 and I believe the 1’s were GW1 and GR4s were used in GW2. Thanks 😀
