I’m sure 2 F15s have just done a low level pass over Boscombe Down heading south 😮

I finally managed to get hold of someone I know who works at Boscombe Down and he confirmed they were indeed F15s.
No idea whose they were but I’m certain the second may have had a brightly painted tail, I only saw each one very fleetingly.

At 1430 a Navy Lynx wearing the display scheme was flying north parallel with the A34 over Sutton Scotney services.

What dates are you there for? You have Duxford Airshow on 27th, and Sally B flying over Madingley on he 28th May.

21st to the 25th, can Sally B not do a practice run during the week?

I get a lot of activity with Mildenhall over my house, as I’m sure Dragon Rapide does.

Get quite a lot of aircraft around Cambs from Warbirds to Military.

    Quite lucky around Cambridge.

I think plenty of spare films for my camera might be in order! 😀

Yes, I have an old 36mm camera as well as a digital but I expect the wife will have a monopoly on the digital

Oh yeah I know the place. Mildenhall might be good as well if the activity is good. 😀

    James

I’ve just noticed your location, is there much flying done at the airfields around?

Just looked on Google Earth, “darling, you look around the shops in Cambridge me and Jack will be in the countryside. You know how much he likes playing outside.”
    This might work…!

Haha, will you be travelling by car? If not you can always get the Citi 7 bus from the town centre to Duxford.

Duxford has different aircraft plus its an active airfield so Warbird activity could well happen on your visit.

Where are you staying in Cambridgeshire?

    James

A cottage in Isleham, just west of Mildenhall.
