I started laughing when I read about our Phantoms being in the Falklands, my missus says “What’s so funny?”

Looking at Tibenham on Google Earth did the main runway used to be 650m longer and if so why was it shortened so much?

My 2 cents, the sequel won’t be set in the modern day.They have the perfect “prequel” storyline in the story of mavericks father and Viper…”bogeys like fireflies, all over the sky…” Anyone got any spare F-4s and Migs lying around?

I think this could be a very real possibility as Mavericks father and his role in the Top Gun story were certainly a part of the original film.

The large number of people on Facebook (both my wife’s friends and mine) complaining bitterly how bad 2011 has been.
These people all have jobs that pay well enough to support them and the relevant families, they don’t mind posting dozens of photos each weekend of what they get up to (drinking, days out, trips away etc), they all have a roof over their heads (most own their own houses the rest rent) and those that drive drive quite new, modern cars.
They are not;
homeless, destitute, poor, ill, in danger, suffering or struggling.

It just seems they need a sense of ‘real life’ to be shown to them!
