    Bloody GMTV this morning.

They were banging on about Cheryl Cole stepping out for the first time since she announced her divorce from Ashley Cole, and all these celebrity muppets coming out in her defence.

This made me want to swear because:

    1) I find her irritating as feck.

    2) Everyone seems to have forgotten that she was accused of racially aggravated assault a few years ago!

Obviously! I mean, flash some cleavage and put up with Simon Cowell, and everyone will bow down and kiss your ass! 😡

    Not everyone!

I too find her irritating as feck but she makes me swear because she has been voted woman of the year. 😡
Why the hell does she deserve such an award?
    Has she saved anyones life?
Has she made a worthwhile contribution to society?
If truth be told how many parents out there would really want their daughters to grow up into an adult like her?

    Well…what a nifty subject!!

Why don’t we begin with folks including their qualifications…that might add some meat to their posts.

I’ll start the conversation. I’ve flown combat in a fighter…Vietnam, F-4. I’ve also flown single seat in a variety of mission roles…F-104 and A-10…US and Europe.

As far as I’m concerned, two human brains far out-perform whatever any computer might come up with. Computers compute. Brains think. The difference isn’t all that subtle.

This is what I was thinking, computers compute but brains think so is relying on computers to operate weapons systems such a good idea? The computer might see a tank surrounded by troops but will it know wether it is an enemy tank or a friendly tank?

That could work…. I have a deep mistrust of car electrical systems. It’s caused by long exposure to Lucas electrical components! (Another thing that can make me swear, daily!)

I’ve come to the opinion you only need two tools for an old car. Gaffer tape and a hammer.

If it moves and it shouldn’t, gaffer tape it.

If it should move and doesn’t, hit it with the hammer.

You sound like a highly qualified REME VM!

Oh, maybe not. No mention of large mugs of tea, often.

Listening to Wave FM as I drove down to the coast in my truck today, “If Isla Fisher married Barry White she’d be Isla White when she divorced him and then married Brian Ferry she’d be Isla White Ferry. If Dizzy Rascal and Blondie worked together she’d be known as Dizzy Blondie!”
There were several others but those are my favourites, if I need an excuse to fine them funny, I started work at 4 o’clock in the morning.

An Andover flew south over Shipton Bellinger at between 2-4 thousand feet, I didn’t see registration but it wasn’t the one with the Sea Harrier FRS2 esq. radome on the nose!

At about 16.10 I heard the familiar rumble of one of Boscombe Down’s Andovers outside so I went to the back door and saw one flying south at 2-4 thousand feet, nice! 😀
