Personally I’m for the locked up for LIFE, in solitary, no comforts, only occasional contact with relatives, and spending 23 hours out of every 24 locked in a spartan, basic cell option.

This point for all murderers can’t be made enough. I don’t agree with the death sentence because once they are dead where is the punishment? A life of complete suffering with the knowledge that it will never end is a much more severe punishment than death.

Could almost be said to make the death penalty seem lenient, the only people who suffer when a murderer is hanged would be his or her loved ones. The parents, immediate family and some friends may mourn his/her loss but everyone else will mourn the fact they have escaped a lifetime of punishment!

Burning a toddler, inserting batteries into his ass, pouring paint into his eyes, beating him, hitting him with rocks, stones, bricks, urinating on him and then killing him before trying to have his body cut in half….

I’d actually forgotten exactly how many horrific things were done to James Bulger by these two children, it astounds me there is even one person alive who thinks we should have offered these two a second chance fully paid for by us through HM Govt!

I haven’t seen it posted on here so forgive me if it already is but the reason Venables was returned to prison was he has committed a sexual offence.

As a child he commits an offence of the magnitude many can’t understand a person so young being capable of and 17 years later after being released and given (far too?) many chances to lead a new life he commits an offence many people think of as almost the most harrowing possible.

It is not surprising the two people responsible for the release of Venables and his friend Thompson Lord Chief Justice, Lord Woolf and Davis Blunket seem very quiet on this issue!

    😮

Does anybody know if either of them will be flying on Monday? I’m not working and the weather will be perfect so I’ll be near Boscombe with camera in hand!

I know, I won’t be near fence photographing anything on site 🙂

What do you mean ‘before the project finishes at the end of March’?

Please don’t tell me the Hip was only a temporary fixture with ETPS! 🙁

Well, of course, if they charged for them as they do in dozens of other countries the problem would disappear overnight!

They charge for the use of trollies in Lidl and I very rarely see a Lidl trolly thrown in a bush or river but see other supermarkets trollies everywhere they shouldn’t be pretty much daily!

I might start a Facebook group ‘Return Your Trollies!’

It seems to be the modern way of protesting about something.

Early visit to the supermarket. Struggled to park for the jumble of trolleys left all over the parking bays. Are these people selfish, thoughtless or stupid – or all three? How long does it take to return the trolley to a trolley park, for heavens sake? They are no doubt the same people who park across two parking spaces and failing that, in disabled and family parking bays!

I used to work in Tesco, Newbury collecting the trollies from around the car park (and local housing estates) and returning them to the front of the shop. This is something that even 10 years after I finished that job that really winds me up! It takes only a matter of seconds to return a trolly to a trolly park and place it correctly in with the others yet I too see these selfish, thoughtless and stupid people leaving them strewn throughout the car park. It would be interesting to see how quickly they would be back in the shop complaining if a lose trolly was to get blown into the side of their car scratching it! :dev2:

What will happen with the A4? Will they tunnel it under the extension or have a mahoosive diversion around new perimeter?

I can’t believe they intend to demolish most of a village in order to make room for the new runway! 😮

this may have been said already, but having just read “Vulcan 607”, the only obvious way to head this confrontation off is to keep XH558 in the air no?

    😉

Are there any airworthy Victors about as a couple of them were needed for Black Buck?

I’m getting all excited at the prospect of seeing them all en route to Argentina… sorry, occupied Falklands! :diablo:
