But by staying in international airspace, they are not violating anybody’s rights or sovereignty. The converse is true, that it is their right to fly in international airspace. The only reason other countries are not trying it on the US is they cant do it, not because of a lack of desire.

According to the international norm, a nation’s territorial air space extends 19 km from its coast line. The US is the ONLY exception and claims air space of 370 km from its coast line; any foreign airplane violating this extended air space is challenged or shot down by the US military.

and w.r.t that I’d like Russia, India , China and others to follow that line…. shoot down anyhing that cross 370Kms.

that same mentality as abt the air space can be seen in others too..like the resources and property that ur land have is only ur , but for Unkil, they stretch that a few thousands of Kilometers and hence the OIL all around trhe world is theirs.

well abt the Channel ….. that was the main reason that I believe the Soviet navy got locked in that area, I don know how many times the Soviet carriers ventured out of Black Sea except after the break-up.

firsr of all it never ended except from the Soviet side, the fact that the west never intended to end it can be seen in the existance of NATO …. a deal which was done during that period which mentioned that NATO wud be disbanded. :dev2:

Its not just here that US has been doin stuff, but all along the Norther border with Norway in the forefront.

In addition to that US has all along moved very much near to the Russian border with the American chap in Georgia (who have been living off on Moscow’s almost free oil) who again was a close aide of the man who brought down the Soviet Union – yup Gorbachev.

Now what the US has gained is an all out ‘closeness’ to Russia and will now have score of patrol a/c in that area.

Also look out in the future for modifying the 1934 or 1936 or 1939 (which one?, i am confused) treaty which bars the entry of carriers into Black Sea area … where by American carrier cud sneek in there for the Georgian $astard and for the OIL thats flows throw that area. :dev2:
