MiG-31 (BM ?) was what Russia offered to India Air Force during 1993-4 before the Sukhoi came to the scene.

India started its launch vehicles with the Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV)

….. and progresed from SLV with ASLV (Auguemted Satellite Launch Vehicle) , PSLV(Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) , GSLV(Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle) and in few more years the completely different looking GSLV MkIII …. and today the ISRO chairman anounced that RSLV 😎 would be complete or the work would be complete in 3-4 years.

also the japanese Space agencey put their first Geo satellite after 3-4 failures, but we managed to put it up on our first launch. Thats was what Unkil and Unkils buddy Yeltsin tried to delay by refusing the ToT for Russian Cryogenic engines, but now untill the Indian engines get operational ISRO wud be using the Russian engine. Also the Indian engine has 2 digit more thrust than the currently used Russian engine (if am not wrong).

Thats one of the exapmles as to what sanctions can produce in India. Tks to India, with the pressure on Russia, ISRO lost time , but that made the resolve to make indegenious one and it will be fired up the next year or so.

After all the super computer affair was not very long ago…. . now Unkil wants to sell super computers and we show the middle finger.

Also y not mention that the ESA’s Galelio’s …… test vehicle (?) …. a Belgian Satellite was Launched by PSLV … someone can correct me on that one.

Nope, the 9m96 is not in the class of the Shtil, its bit more sider in dia, if am not wrong.

I don know if the 300Km is possible, but considerinf that the SM-series has grown from the Shtil type lauch to what it is now, I am pretty sure, if the initiative and need is there, the Russian one too can do that, considering that the new one has got 45 Km.

it wud have been pretty good if the Indian Govt raised the valus from the current exchange rate to nearly 30Rs to a dollar like the Russian exchange rate, or say like 8yauns to a dollar like the Chinese one.

But the Chinese is not possible, so it wud have been good if the Govt reduced it to nearly 30-35 from the nearly 50 currently as that wud shrink the Oil bill and will have more money for home stuffs.
