Yes it is a puzzle to me too. If a conflict breaks out in some remote place, it can take as much as three to four days to change an orbit enough to get coverage of where you want.

thst sud not be puzzling, coz what they did was a honourable withdrawal of the SR-71, rather than shattering the to be written ‘records’ in history as the unchallenged a/c.

It was always better not to shatter that one falling to the MiG-25, and MiG-31s and thats what I belive made US to retire it.

first of all i hope its ur own comment, Or was it what the continental teachers brainwashed comments for the puppies …like they did for the Evil Soviets after the War.

So getting back to the Japanese stuff, Mr Edisonone.

The Japanese Empire with Imperial Japanese Army, Navy or Airforce NEVER COLONISED OR INVADED ANY SOVERGIN ASIAN NATION!!!

What they invaded and attacked was the British, American and other European COLONIES, which threatened the Japanese Industrial needs from their natural markets.

It happened when the European (inclusing the British started to come in the way of Japanes presence to their Natural area, and not the other way round.

Oh and coming to ur Japanes apology for Pearl Harbor. well have the Americans apologised for all the japanese ships and a/c lost after the Pearl harbor Incident, The japanese Carrier, their powerful cruisers???…. well no buddy….. u need to wake up dear ……. all this leaving alone what during the closing period of the war.

How many Damn dogs appologised for the Massacare at Hiroshima and another Massacare at Nagasaki???….. can u count the number of Dogs and puppies????

If not come back after counting, I’d be glad to have a chat with u.

I have no idea what your trying to say about the CDG airport terminal. All I know is that is was built fast and it would seem the quality of construction may have lacked somewhat.

And what is this about a Single aircrash for Airbus?? may I remind you that there have been several crashes involving airbus, including several for the A320.

Tks for the info abt the two different class …. the crash I meant was in India….. mean of all the Indian operators.

Hey……. I also see u’ve changed ur Signature 😉 …… hope u also change ur Avatar. TY, I think ur a good chap, so u not that too…. 🙂

What about the long range Maritime Patrol Aircraft?

This is an operational gap and we are conscious about it. We are working at it. We are upgrading our IL-38s. We are buying some more of those. We are looking at upgrades of TU-142 aircraft which have a much longer range. We have not yet found a satisfactory aircraft which meets our requirements. As you are aware the American are phasing out their P3C Orions and are keen that we buy them. I am personally not in favour of them.

I hope the Russians sent a proposal for a patrol a/c based on the Tu-204 which they initially had intended. I’d personally like to see that happen rather than goinin for something based on Boeing or Airbus.

    thread for IL-38 & P-3 successors
