Yes these two – Tu-204 and Tu-334 are a big bet for the Russian civila industry coz they hold a lot of potential. But for that ICAO Stage III regulation the Tu-204 never got a decent chance to get anywhere and not to mention the terrible marketing from the Russian side …. so to have the operators to get over EU air every single one was fitted with Rolls Royce engine and u can see in the picture every single one with the earlier model having the engine number writted on them and the later-on ones getting thet RR plating. IF managed properly this could be the serious third player in the market to compete with the A-320 family and B-757 & B767 (if I am not wrong, pardon if i got that class of that boeing wrong)

Oh abt the cute little Tu-334, yes …….. anyone who have watched the European game wud in no time get to see the challenge the Tu-334 pose to the tallest and the newest member of the Airbus 320 family – A318 ….. yes ….. EADS told the Russians to se to it that Tu-334 did not get in the way of their A318 and to have the seating a little lower so that the 100+ seating don collide with the A-318 in the market. That will show u the potential of the Tu-334 which the European Gaint understood but not the incompetent Russian marketing people. The Tu-334 comes from the same fuselage of the Tu-204 and I wud say its the best positioned a/c to win the race in that segment of which will include the A318, and the newest beautiful baby from Embraer ERJ-190 and another beautiful Fairchild-Dornier 728JET ….

The Tu-334 coz of its high mounted engine gets the capablity to have operations from not so well equipped airports on say short and medium travel for which the likes of these class wud be mostly be used ….

So the little one got an advantage in that………. the Other one being that the newe comer ATR-XX-500 series, which is the hottest (I ‘d say) …is enjoying the market w/o any serious competition (I wud say) ……….and its main advantage is the big comfortable fuselage with hight mount wings and turboprops …..now put the same fuselage of Tu-334 with a High mount wings and Turboprops , u get a real compititor to compete with the ATR in the turboprops …….. there are a loy of potential that these two family of ac have, hope the Russians manage it well and gain a position for themselves as a real theird player in civil aviation sector …. if they loose the chance, the civil aviation sector will simply be gone

Abt the future , they have got Rolls Royece engine certification too for the Tu-334 and now operate with the Saturn-Ilyuka engine and also the Rolls Royce ….. but if the Russian Gove to win the contract of the Brazilian AF ….. get in and offer the BIG amount of future contract (like 100 a/c) for the Embraer as a package deal with the Su-35, then the home market for the Tu-334 wud shrink , but then I can see other markets for these and whats needs is a proper management for presenting and mareting their products which are ofcourse not inferior to what the other players are providing.

When you copy, you should copy the best 🙂

no wonder that the Chinese copied the MiG series even though they had several options, Now for instance the PLA’s tank fleet, not to mention the J-11, radars, subs, missiles and other stuff, got to agree with that quote … 😎 😉

And yeas am not particularly enthusiastic abt that Dhanush, i supose it was just a TD else I just don see any meaniful juse for thse 250-350 Km range missile being rolled out from the Helo hanged and firing, thats simple nonsense, if i am a bit frank abt that. But a more matued one I wad say is to have atleast 500Km range one fro which this TD is developed and have them in silos that wud be a better one …. and such a solution for now coz we dont have SSBN to fire it from the seas, so till that come a solution of that kind wont be a bad idea, but then IN don have the luxuary of sparing ships to dothat, so that Danush can go silent and for now concentrate on longer range of the Klub series of land attack, I gues a bit more lenth of the land attack version of the Klub to make it equal with that oif the 3-stage AShM wud mean that it will have atleast a 1000Km in range. And that I saw will cover up allmost what Indian military plannes wud like to have within their naval missile arsenal.

Nice photos Ken, but that single engine config don look good, they should rather concentrate on the twin 360hp one as in one of the article above posted, it says the 210 hp is a bit low powered and a 300hp engine is to be placed – from the first customer who bought 3 of these.

I hope the Berive team makes that canopy area a bit more smoother and the front end too… the a/c looks much better w/o that pointing nose ….like the first picture u posted

whis is this M-14 engine??….. which company is it from??… and can u give me any info on the VAZ engine that the Russian Be-103 uses?? ….. they have mentioned in their site beriev-usa as Vankel engine (VAZ) ….. or is it the Wankel engine they are mentioning one of the 2-3 manufactures in the world being Lada (AUTO-VAZ) mainly for their motor-sport …. but i guess its not ….

anyway info on the Russian engines powering these wud be of help … the propeller seems to be of German .

And Ken….just wanted to know if u changed the site for the Russian carrier designs, coz I am not able to access the link which u had previously provided, hope u can help me on that too ….

Oh abt the Be-200 ……yesssssss there are many areas that I can see it , seems like their marketing has not yet matured and also the political blocks which are creating the problems for its sale ….. I see it has a good market in the South Easrt, namely the ASEAN countries and Y not Japan??…… all these nations can do away with additional airports and also reduced traffic and make good with these Be-200 with the wast tak-off and landing area surrounding them …. not to mention the fire fighting role!

And when i come back home, I can see its role in transportation and a regular flight link between the Indian Islands — in the south Laksswadeep and in the Far East – the Andaman & Nicobar Islands …. Oooooh not to mention the Mauritious, Maldives, and Sychelles but the first two got more potential … coz of the air-travel ….

well….hope they find customers, there is no use me getting ideas as to how selling these stuffs, its for them to take an initative before someone else makes another amphibians and take out a comfortable market share these chaps have in aviation.

I put my money on the Severodvinsk class, as i believe its gonna resemble it the most and maybe as like the MKI programme of the IAF this could be the other MKI programm for the Indian Navy …. and yes it has got a decent 8 cell VLS too for land attack and thats petty comfortable….. but I wud definetely love to have a SSBN with that Topols blasting from underneath the sea so as to keep anyone having any unwanted dreams abt the IOR 😀 ….

and what the heel is the Gov doing with the Scorpene, even the 6 no is small and now theyr are delaying it, I wud say for a start a 8 sub is needed so that 3 is built in France and the rest in India before 2010 as that wud agument the fleet and absorb the decomissioning of the subs past 2010.

and a pic of the lada from their site …

hey did u guys forgot the Recent selling of the TVR to a Russian millionaire??… and MG Rover is turning to Chinese for cash – Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC), they are are also thinking big to be a major player in the field and thats what I call a Vision – the Chinese got a Vision….. and if they had money earlier they wud definetely have bought what the American companies bought earlier, but that said I am sad that Jaguar went into the Ford’s fold….. my first love is that beautiful Jaguar with that oval grill and beautiful eyes …..OOooh I love it ! … if i was a bilionaire, I wud have bough the whole thing and mdae it at the cost of at least the Hyundai Santro ….. juat wanna see it all around me 😀 ….. call me crazy, but I just love that British Creation …. and so do i am a big fan of British classics ….

But certainly Rover is not my passion, i just don like its shape ….
