the Moskits cost very much and slso there is an incresae in flight deck and slso Kashtans too so maybe thats the reason for higher cost ….. initially the INS Delhi of the Delhi class of destroyers of the Indian Navy was to be armed with the Moskits, but the Moskits alone costed as much as the ships and thats what made the IN to go for the Kh-35 .. though with 16 of them ….

and its also said in the report u posted abt the improved Moskit….. and that confirms that Yakhont will not enter the Chinese arsnel.. these new improved ones are of the range 250 km (or is it 200 Km?) …. enough to keep the US carier to mind their own bissiness….. and so can these be carried by the Flankers …. mean the air-launched version …

so actually the Chinese arte getting an improved version of the Sovermenny… got to see how they look as they talked abt the lengthening of the Helo deck too .. well does that mean carring two helo too??….. well if thats it then I can for sure consider a chinese order for Ka-31 too as the improved Moskit of 250 Km wud very well make use of these for OTH targeting and improve the PLAN’s capablity very much…..

so the new Sovermenny will have –
64 close in missiles as standard (as 2 x Kashtan is the minmum)
8 x 250 km Moskit
2 x helos (including the Ka-31 ?)

and I think its definetely worth it considering that India paid i,5 billion for 3 Talwars, and these chaps are more heavier too.and is to definetely include much improved systems than the earlier sovermennys like automation etc etc …

I wish this goes through and PAF gets some nice fighters, thatwud also help IAF to get more funds …. but Y don y guys dictch the FC-1 and go in for the J-10 , i think thats a more promising a/c , but hope the FC-1 is not bad either so maybe good if cost are considered …

but am in no way gonna take that PAF F-16’s are in really bad condition , even the Isreli’s were supplying the Iranians the sapre for their F-14 and u guys want me to take that an American ally don get sapres covertly?? .. well let the IAF go on record abt that and I’ll believe that ….
