It was the one million Ex-Soviet Engineers that created the 90s IT revolution. West was done in front of Japanese/SK in 80s. and is crying again. but there is no help again.

I should send you the bill from my laptop service since I spilled my f…g coffee on it when I read that.. How old are you anyway?
I come from ex-WP country… there was no IT here compared with the west…
If it was.. well your computer would had a processor call Vostok-3 …

AGM-88 vs the missiles I mentioned. Check out the ranges. 😀

    Hmmm AGM-88 150 km ..
Kh-31 110km… not to mention typical rigid Russian thinking in design 3 different seeker heads for each band(which is more like a issue of producing a singular warhead but hey… all Russian Anti Radar missiles where like that..)… Meaning that if you load a different seeker head… though **** comrade… 0 flexibility..

Just because weopons are not shown officially it does not mean that they dont exist.

😀 hmm so you do realize that F-35 will have laser weapons and even a rail gun don’t you ? 😀 See above you own words ….

Longer range on internal fuel (4000km), New FBW, more powerful engines, superior acceleration due to less drag of single seat with less weight, widely spaced weopon stations, longer range supersonic weopons, newer IRST, longer range radar. Almost in all categories.

Just enlight us, what weapons are we talking about here>?

unless as i said Brazil is playing the NATO vs Russia game and lookingh for points with NATO

I think is about commonality of weapons available already in their arsenals. Also they operated Western Based planes , maintenance procedures are known (albeit different).. It would be too costly to go Russian on it.

The Su-34 has no western equivalent

Ever herd of F-15E? Even battle tested… You should go back to your Lalaland…

I’m surprised about SU-35 being out. For a country of that size, shouldn’t be a good solution?

Probably failed at some parameters.. more like weapons.. too much of a hassle to switch to russian weapons when your industry produce NATO equivalent weapons.

The equipment in the inventory is so fearful of Mr Putin that it dutifully updates itself.

Well that would brake the pattern of the high maintenance and rudimentary leve that all ex WP countries reported related to Russian equipment…

    “MiG a/c since 1937”:

-“MiG-23 MLD: a new missiles introduced during their service were R-73 and R-27.”

I can’t imagine the F-14 survive the encounter with this. Even R-60M was too much for the F-14.

Now this is funny as hell.
    Dude get you pill…
R-27 was a unreliable crappy missile (just check its performace in Etiopian theater)
23 MLD was a aerodynamically improved version … only in the 90 it was offered as electronically upgrade to the already crappy radar.

R-60 was a poor attempt of a maneuverable missile .. it lacked the IR seeker to be all-aspect missile .. That never happend not even in 60MK (which was just integrated with HMS on the Mig 29 because the R-73 super missile was latte in delivery)

R-73 missile was not available to service use until 87-88. Not to mention that it turned out to be a flare eater… just ask Luftwaffe. Only thing was the trust vectoring in it.. a novelty in a missile that reach series..
But that tech was already tested / prototyped by West in the 70’s.

And about Mig-25 it was a maintenace nightmare. Bulgarian AF switched them for more Mig-23.

When you will got outside that big red country of yours.. you will learn that propaganda do tricks with your mind.
Just face it Russia and USSR can’;t compare with West in R&D and Electronics.

I see those S-300V uses a chain of Antenna to communicate probably via Data Link to Radars , C3I and Missile , that is interesting because if you jam the data link you can get the job done , that is probably IMO the weakest link in the chain , Uncle Sam may be well aware of this 🙂

What is interesting is the inside the command vehicles and the view of radar screen. Unless they mix old images, there is no visible technological progress compared with older SAM’s. I mean I would expect more compact dials/etc.. Maybe more to a computer screen. I don;t get a feeling of being a technology wander.

I agree with this generaly, but note that, besides the fact that the MiG-25 has unsurpassed Speed/Altitude/Maneuverability combination, it also has unsurpassed altitude capability.

It still holds world speed records:
    -over 100 km closed circuit
    -over 500 km closed circuit.
-over 1000 km closed circiut, with 2 t payload.

It also still holds climb records to over 20 km heights.
And it still holds max altitude absolute record.

So, while it is true that it represents unsurpassed combination of Speed/Climb/Altitude/Maneuverability, it also holds records in these particular issues.

You do realise that it was prepared prototype and not a serial aircraft, and that data is not valid for serial planes?
