Hi, Quick update… I still want to go, but i can’t go by aircraft anymore (time changed at Cry an air)… But the Mrs isn’t keen on letting me go three weekends in a row ( i also booked waddo and RIAT)… Seriously thinking of Skipping RIAT…

    Cheers,

Well it was a fantastic airshow if i may say. I was there also and it was aircraft galore for me.. So many different types, including one of our own Fokker S.11’s (was at the static line up where the CAF was). Only downside was the Sun. Thank god our RV campsite had a wonderfull refreshing swimmingpool hahahaha.

Love your pics Pogno. brings back alot of good memories 🙂 and i really needed that atm 😀

IF some more pics are needed i will post some on the Photography section tonight 🙂 (only on request though 😉 )

A quick googlywoogly: but don’t know if this is the case

If i look at this website: http://members.casema.nl/kw.jonker/Typen/S/Supermarine%20Spitfire%20IX%20KLu-UK.htm

i see two differences. the 3W- codes for MK. IX and the VL- codes for MK. IXb. I hope it can be of some assitance.

Well it’s going to be a tricky one then.

It ain’t Dutch… I think no aircraft designed by a dutch manufacturer had a sideway opening in their canopy.

Swedish design isn’t a posibility either (Saab 17 has other wheelstruts, and retracts front to back instead of sideways) and there weren’t to many single engined monoplanes designed there.

    British or French Design perhaps?

If anyone would be so kind to pick me up and drop me off at Stansted airport or Cambride train station for traveling to the Shuttleworth airshows. i would be glad to pay some expenses for Gas/Diesel and perhaps buy some lunch? im not shure at the moment if i will be alone or with someone..

    Cheers and thanks very much,

We could recommend al of different types of SLR’s but the most important thing is what YOU want your camera to do and the functions it should have. The biggest mistake people can make is to buy what friends or family recommend to buy and then find out that it’s not their cup of tea and then decide to buy another one and sell the damn thing on e-bay or something. This costs you quite an amount of money because you never can get the money for it, you bought it for.

I self use Pentax equipment and i realy love it. I bought myself a second hand model to get the hang of it and to get some experience shooting with a Digital SLR for a small amount of money (total about 500 Euro). I liked it so much so i bought a second one (newer White K-x model) this year that has some beter features and posibilities as the first one i bought (still keep it for backup).

Lenses are also a big point of investment (like said before). Quality of the lens you use is a huge factor if the picture is perfect or not. Although alot can be Photoshopped, a soft picture will always stay a soft picture how much you shop it. Lenses come in various stages of quality and price range. Better quality and apperature, means a bigger price on the lens. Pentax has the option of using old film SLR lenses on their new models (these lenses don’t cost that much, but quite alot have great image quality).

Perhaps you can check some pictures i took on my website for some impressions about the image quality.

Would bribe some officials to take the Dutch Connie airborne and show it of accross the pond now and then ;)…

Help the Dutch Fouga flight with some new airframes or engines. Support the Dutch historic aircraft comunity with what ever is possible.

Would try to get a nice Historic airshow of the ground here in the Netherlands organised by Aircraft enthousiast all over europe who can have input in what to see.

    A guy can dream right?
