Rang up today to find a bit more info. Apparently it is just an “open day” for the locals, entrance is free and there will be no flying displays and most, if not all the hangars will be open for inspection. Delta Jets aircraft will be displaying at Leuchars on Sat 10th and will be back for photo opportunities, either arriving back late Sat or during Sun morning. As it is an open fly-in too there will be Free landing fees for all visiting aircraft. Nothing is “booked to appear” and whatever turns up, turns up, so to speak. But if you are in the local area then it might be worth wobbling down for a hour, especially as it’s FREE.
Any Hunters there ????
I’ll be there…………..wouldn’t miss it. Always first on my list to attend.
[QUOTE=MarkG]Stinky Pete, why on earth are you lecturing a bloke about supporting Kemble when he is ALREADY doing exactly that by going on the Saturday?
Hey, not lecturing or havin’ a pop………..just thought it stange when the Kemble show is on Sunday and not Saturday.
Dave T, enjoy your Sunday with 4 Olympus’ ringin in your ears. You never know there might be one flying at Kemble next year. Here’s hoping……..
With Kemble show on Sunday, why go to Wellesbourne??? Stay at Kemble buy a ticket and support the show. These are exactly the type of shows that need your support otherwise they, along with a few others, will not be around in 2 or 3 years time.
Not havin’ a dig, but just find it a strange decision?????
Kemble – Classic Jets
Whose “Grunter” was it then? Looks like possibly ‘573 or ‘322 going by the wrap around cammo?
I’ll be there too. Cracking venue and sun behind you all day………….when it shines?????
Take a look at the above site and click on the “Lobby Letter” and see what you chaps think?
That’s a good point……………Nobody seemed to get a pic of the Lanc? Perhaps because when it displayed everything went very quiet as if standing in tribute to the upcoming 60th anniversay of VE Day?
Hunters
Anyone got any pics of that famous 15 ship formation at Kemble in 2001?
