That’s something I’d like to see flying in the UK. Being from Essex, the heart of Marauder country, and all that.

What about the “Million Dollar Valley” B-26s?

Yes, there’s some startling stuff on there – what I’m sure is K5054 for one, plus the Caudron etc. Vimys* dropping parachutes, Hawker Henley…

I have to say that DH’s usual magic with good looks went a bit awry with the Don!

Aaah, memories! I fear someone’s video of the aerobatic ‘plane (the one trailing sparks) was spoilt by me stood next to them effing vigorously as the pilot did things I didn’t think you could do with an aeroplane!

Funnily enough, this chap named Elkington cropped up in a book I bought the other day on Czechs in the RAF.

I still have to complete Les Munro’s Lancaster, never mind put it in a diorama… I’d already started it when he signed the box, so that gives you an idea of how long it’s been so far (though I can claim moving house as an excuse).
