(By the way, I don’t think I’m the huge bloke in question…but if so, my apologies!)
From the angle, you were further over, you’re OK!

If you were stood next to someone with a camera on an aluminium shoulder stock…

I guess we’ll find out sooner or later. Pity she’s not still at Kidlington (I believe that was very short lived, maybe even just a temporary stopover), but there aren’t many better places for her than OW.
Adrian
Speaking of Skyvans, where are the flying sheds based at the moment? I’m missing them!
Adrian
I will try to post some of mine ASAP, but have other fish to fry at he mo – including a new motherboard for the home computer!
Yes, I tried to get the floatplane lifting off, but my viewpoint was limited by a huge bloke in front of me.

It would appear one or more drivers got into an altercation while frantically trying to leave the show in heavy traffic and run several people over.
.
No sign that I can see on any Bedfordshire news sites, so hopefully nothing was seriously injured except the person responsible’s licence* and conscience. A great pity – I was very impressed with how many people did stay to the bitter end (though it was noticeable that the crowds in the naughty field melted away as soon as the Vulcan left), but I guess there’s always eejits.
Love that photo, hampden98, that has to be the least expected airshow pairing ever, and I was gobsmacked by the way the Vulcan was hauled round the sky as tightly to OW as possible – I had no idea it was so agile. We both needed the hankies when she left, and there were more than a few car alarms wailing.
As for the rest… well, Seafuryfan has beaten me to it. I don’t know how OW do it, I’m just glad they do.

*not sure, as it occurred on private ground
Well, it was a cracking day, and DragonRapide and I met up. Apologies to anyone else – I couldn’t send details etc as my laptop blew up last night and I have no smartphone.
Adrian
I suspect it’ll be outside the blister hangar, but I suggested it as it should be easy to spot wherever it is, and I can’t remember which hangar is which. We’ll find it somehow.
Adrian
Well, there’ll be two of us – if it’s chilly I’ll have a burgundy zip-up fleece on, with a red carnation, and be farting “Liliburlero” (some of that may be a lie).
Looking forward to it!
Adrian
Bit different to how Flypast covered the A26 crash at Biggin Hill way back in 1980, which included a picture of the fireball. I guess people are just super sensitive now and just complain about everything.
I thought Flypast didn’t start until 1981?

OK, how about 11am by the stationary steam engine (as opposed to the traction engine)? I can PM a mobile number to people, but will be out in the countryside for most of Saturday. That gives us time to get there, and find where it’s been parked.
I intend to wear my comedy sweatshirt with the P51 on it billed as a Hurricane. Assuming I remember it.
Anyone seen AndyinBeds round here lately? I suspect he’ll be around with his Terry-Thomas T-shirt, though he’ll no doubt be busy as a beaver.
Adrian
She made the front page of this morning’s Times.

According to an article in Aeroplane mag for August, yes- and some other types as well.
Aha – that’s where I’d half-seen it. I do hope it stays around long enough to see it in the air again. I won’t say fly, because I don’t think it can fly, it’s just that it’s so ugly the ground repels it!
I shall be sad if another tranche of the Hairywaffe is sold off, but thankful that PH has given me the chance to see so many unusual aircraft – especially his Miles collection, which rival anything DeHavilland for pulchritudinousness.

They do indeed need a bit of a lighten but that third one in particular, with the eye contact and the catchlight, is a stunner.
