    What generation was F-20.

    Any RCS figure available ?

    F-7 is a MiG-21 knock off – initially MiG-21F-13 and later MiG-21MF.

    And it has a turbojet.

So it seems and only 63.7 kN; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_aircraft_engines

topspeed you should do the rounds for seed funding for that project! it may “just” work… is there an alternative for the F124/5 that doesn’t have US export restrictions? maybe a souped up / modernised DV2? and use a SELEX AESA… and hang off some METEOR / R74s in stealthy pods 😀

perhaps even use RATO for take off in combat situations, to improve range and payload…

Why would Honeywell have restrictions to Iceland or Finland or Israel etc ?

RATO is not a bad idea…

problem is… some of the best potential customers for this could be classified as “rogue” countries by US standard… hahaha.

Perhaps you can pull another Nokia for finland 😀

    simplify
    stealthify
    sell

Why NOKIA…why not new iPhone ?

NOKIA lives outa royalties IPhone pays them.

Touch screen was invented right here in 2005 and patented by MyOrigo !

    The question is to whom?

Sheytanelkebir has already done a market analysis from which you can see the market isn’t really there.

Fighter and complex weapons sales in general are in terminal decline. There is no real demand for them.

In the 1980s it was still common to see 100+ aircraft orders. Now 60 is a huge sale and the average seems to be 20 odd.

And very often those 20 odd are the entire fighter fleet of a country.

Just about anyone..if you manage to fit 4 x mach 4 AAMs or 8 GBU-39 inside a stealth mach 2 mover that uses only one F125 or R&R Adour Mk821 and has a AN/APG-67…and still has a 20-30 mm cannon as a topping…then the market has to be there. Why would anyone buy a 7 times larger plane just to carry 2 more IR missiles and 2 AAMs inside and go slower with less ceiling.

careful the iranians dont make a plastic mockup of your design and pass it off as a new stealth jet 😀 or worse… the chinese actually build one along the same principles.

still IMHO better to go the UCAV route… especially for air defence,… line of sight encrypted telemetry still works ok for most countries needs…

Well I hope not..this has some very unique features..it would be easy to see if it was a copy. I have several detail tought for this. I am not going to publish anything detailed.

Certainly if for instance Israel with finnish government want to build a stealth fighter with low operating costs as a joint venture I could come to give advice or Island…maybe Estonia ?

    ….: )

Any rogue country would have hard time getting radars, avionics, engines and professional stealth experts on this.

Edit; I did make it a bit smaller…just in case ! Also the radar pic.

    Size comparison conclusion !

Ok fellows and aviation enthusiasts !

I put all the data on this comparison again that we did with several folks here ( thanks alot ) to see what is the general size ratio…and got this figure 7.13 which gives me the need of power for my tinies possible stealth interceptor..when divided with the 360 kN of J-20…and DADAAAA…it is 50.5 kN ! Gekko aka Velociraptor flies at a 40 Mio Re area and I suppose 35 million for J-20 ( for the wing that is ). Rocket powered AC needs about half of the power or just 1/3.

    😉

Love you all see you later !

    PS:I might need a job or a commission…anyone need a skyscraper or something ( Villa ) design ?

perhaps you might want to consider going for a ramjet configuration where the ramjet picks up from the main engine as speed builds up. That would mean you could ditch the rockets.

Also, you might want to use a model builder and test your design in a simulator package to verify some of its characteristics.

    Exactly…a ramjet..sorta like afterburner.

I checked again this will go now around Mach 1.35 with a tuned 7.2 kN engine ( no regular PW won’t do I am afraid ) at 11 km.

All we need now is a Richard Branson kinda fellow and few good aerodynamicists on this to go forward in testing.

Would the ducted fan model in 1/6-1/7 scale be useless ?

    ——

    Edit:

I increased the wing area to 22.6 m2 ( hull included ) ( to give greater room for AAMs and hydraulic systems inside ). Total length is now at 9 950 mm. Average wing thickness in 4.2%.

I don’t think there is enough volume left in your design for such things. I don’t think you appreciate the volume of avionics. And not just that.
How about pumps for hydraulics? actuators, cooling, cabling. Fuel pipes for fuel balancing etc etc. Not to mention that you maintain internal weapons capability.

I think there isn’t enough volume really.

You could be right. There is possibility to make it a bit bigger..it seems to be too fast on all possible measures in this size even with this 7.2 kN engine..right now.

I think right now it needs only 5 kN back up from rockets to go high supersonic. Stays high supersonic in 10 000 meters after the lite is off from those rockets ( if the fan rotates along correctly ).

You have to figure in the the weight of the cartridges, feed and mounting system.
The weight I gave for the f 106 system was every thing.
It is bolted into the aircraft in place of the Genie launch shackle.

Minus feed system a M61 Gatling weighs 248 lbs.
    It is link-less.

At 1,700 rpm the volume of projectiles from the Mauser will be underwhelming.

It is true…it is underwhelming…and like you said just one round will down any fighter. So with 200 rounds one gets 200 kills..unless the missiles score 4 more …: )

This won’t weigh over 1000 lbs under any circumstances.

Errmm.. I’m sorry, where would the actual Radar electronics go? your diagram only shows the Antenna.

How about under the pilot feet and behind the pilot ?

    AN/APG-67 RADAR !

Here comes the older lay out with this radar measures on it.

    It was used in F-20 Tigershark..designed for it…and F-5G ( originally ).

    Yours is a flying coffin.

It may be one..but is a very fast and maneuvreable and almost invisible coffin.

and Finland gave you Karelia in exchange. be happy Finns and Karelians are not like Iranians and Chechens.

Finland gave lot more than that …300 million worth goodies right after the war ( billions today= worth 5500 first line combat ac at that time )…and the left arm with access to Polar Sea…where the fish were…and one of the largest ever nickel mines..visible to moon today…several islands etc

Ruskies sucked us dry for 10-20 years after the war. People had no medication etc.
