Dad was to young for sevice in WW2 . But did sleep with a Luger under his pillow. Witch he bought of a boy at school. My uncle was with AASF headquaters in Reims in 1939/40, later killed in 1942. Grandad was in the trenches in WW1, But he did see the Red Devil (Red Baron) in his Albatross.

I have two friends who use to go and see Sir Patrick. They said he would never talk about his time in the RAF.

Sorry, I dont know. I picked some parts up from Southend Museum after the auction and some wings from EMK at Watton on Stone in the mid 1980’s for Mike Russell (Russavia). The wings had been offered To Ron Souch some time before to use as DH 60 wings. We stored them for a few years. Then Mike Russell sold them to Mike Souch. Both Ron and Mike came to look at the parts at Eaton Bray. They went on the rebuild of G-ACET.

I had forgotten the Russavia van. I did drive it quite a few times. I did have a good look inside the Freighter when it landed once. We (Russavia) also used a Trilander at an airshow and a Twin Otter. Which took a bite at my finger when i took the fuselage surport out.
