I dont think either side uses ECM in these kinds of engagements.

I suspect in a few yrs IAF invite to Nellis, then the real ‘games’
will begin.

there is a secretive EW+SEAD exercise Aakraman(attack) held
in gwalior every year between IAF, SAM units, EW units. no
open source info on the details.

Does the new Mi-38 produced by Kazan hold any promise in
conversion to naval role ? what do people think of its basic design, airframe and engine — it doesnt have any mil payload or role as of today.

Could a budget conscious nation like India take this platform and
have a ASW payload integrated as a kind of “poor mans NH90” ?

NH90 while 3m shorter than SeaKing lifts almost the same payload. Merlin and SeaKing are same sized but Merlin has much
more payload.

So Beckles is right, NH90 could replace Seakings 1:1

one thing could be increased dust and grit in indian region and Lyulka didnt take it into account when AL31 materials were chosen

ok ok you drive a hard bargain, no doubt Merlin is the f22 of
modern ASW, but whats the unit price ?

and a list of other options would help…budgets arent unlimited.

probably because more AH1s were denied ?

there is a limit to Baksheesh for GUBO activities against Taliban
and Al-Qaeda. payment is proportional to services rendered in

isnt the Little Bird way too small for long range autonomous scouting trips ? cant survive a RPG7 let alone a RPG24/26

the C27J is too small, C-130-mki will work 🙂
