ah64d-lite is the solution! remove all the expensive electronics
and heavy armour, make it nimbler and lighter. leave the radar
and electro-optical suite. just keep 4 x AAMs for self-defence if
    pounced on.

thats the rewards part. the beating and GUBO sessions are administered in private, but sometimes it slips out like FBI running Pak airport immigration.

quite a balanced and pragmative approach to rein in a rogue state imo.

I wont hijack this thread more, sorry about the digression and back to the J-10 discussions. fine plane.

thanks Rick, I figured as much.

enemy#2 has been outsourced to USA to manage with a mixture
of beatings and rewards. work in progress.

enemy#1 as I said isnt really a enemy but a nice trading partner.

#3, #4…..exist in the fevered fantasies of Binur madrassa alums.

everyone but Pak has signed a free trade agreement with India
    – even myanmar and thailand now, singapore in six months.

so you can bark alone in the kennel paf – USA will manage that
outsourcing project …FBI agents are running Pak immigration,
banking and telecom networks now with a intrusive regime of
    monitoring.

    good luck.

locate the body parts for “honourable” burial 😀
time for every family of potential jihadis across the border to lose a couple of sons – if they have any left. bring them on!

India-China bilateral trade expanded 50% last year to close at
$7 bil. $10 bil is expected this year. the future is quite bright
    between the two countries.

    is this true ?
    http://www.stormpages.com/jetfight/J-10_J-11_FC-1.htm

The first J-10A in production standard first flew on June 28, 2002. Currently the initial batches of 50 (54 AL-31FN were imported in 2001) are being produced at CAC, wearing a new gray/light blue paint scheme. The first 10 may have already been delivered to the PLAAF Flight Test & Training Center for evaluation in February 2003. Approximately two are being produced each month.

Presumably the first J-10 regiment is being established at the PLAAF 44th Division stationed in Southwest China facing India.

    Pentagon to Cancel Comanche Helicopter
    Mon February 23, 2004 12:19 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Defense Department is scrapping the multibillion-dollar RAH-66 Comanche helicopter program being developed by Boeing Co. (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and United Technologies Corp. (UTX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , government sources said on Monday.
Pentagon officials plan to announce the decision at a news conference at 4:30 p.m. (2130 GMT), the sources said.

The cancellation is part of the Pentagon’s continuing drive to transform the U.S. military into a force better able to face modern threats, they said. The program was under intense scrutiny because of its hefty price tag.

The U.S. Army launched the Comanche armed scout helicopter program in 1983, and low-rate initial production of the craft was slated to begin in 2006.

The current estimated cost of the program, which has been in development for about two decades, was $38 billion, according to John Pike, director at GlobalSecurity.org, a defense policy research group.

U.S. lawmakers are expected to oppose ending the program. President Bush’s fiscal 2005 budget included $1.2 billion for the Comanche.

Scrapping the program could result in termination fees of $2 billion to $4 billion being paid to Boeing and Sikorsky Aircraft, the United Technologies unit working on the Comanche, the sources said.

Matt Brothers, a spokesman for Sikorsky, asked to comment, said, “Our company’s policy is not to respond to rumors. As far as we are concerned, the program is fully funded and on schedule.”

Boeing officials said the Chicago-based company had not been informed of any program cancellation. “The Comanche program is on track and schedule. We have not been notified about any change in the program status,” said Boeing spokesman John Morrocco.
