arms aid to israel is really a internal subsidy for the american mil-industrial complex. all aid must be spent by buying american goods and services, so the money never leaves US shores…it goes to lockheed , grumann et al.

same for aid to other needy elements.

makes eminent sense, but will be roundly ignored in the councils of power. there are jobs and constituencies at stake, corporate
donations to consider. and above all the preservation of hi-tech
skills in an era where the common enemy is a 2-cent jihadi with
    a AK47!

but a notar helo has no tail rotor by definition.it uses a blast
of air from the main engine fired to the side instead. a few bullet holes in the tail boom wont hurt this puppy much.

Vympel has got a point. unlike the F22 the Commanche cannot
close at Mach2 to 25km, fire a couple AAMs and escape at the
same speed before the enemy gets a good lock.

building 3 carriers in secret? how come the numerous CMF ‘spies’ who take photos every week of 054 and 052 never catch a glimpse of it.

I always wonder why many scientists wear white lab coats?

if working with chemicals it might detect spills but for electronics?

Astra AAM prototype which was tested few times in 2003. the
midbody fins are similar to Mica , the tailfins look simpler. its
early days yet….things may change like it did for Meteor.

I have a question, how do modern attack helos defend against something like Pantsyr + Tor which I think represents the high end of the potential anti-helo armoured division assets in a
desert setting with a clear LOS to say 5km.

both of these systems missiles outrange the TOW/abc and maybe
    the Hellfire range also?

just trying to see who has the upper hand at the moment the
    shooter or defender.

10 feet longer throws out the similar in size right there!

also coming to weight isnt the all-up weight of F22 around 21t
    while SU27 around 30t ?

F22 has a boxy and capacious frame but overall not all that
big compared to Su27 as your figures point out.

from the specs posted in ACIG, PAK_FA looked to be F22 sized not SU27 sized.
