India engages in a spot of friendly fire with different allies
By Ray Marcelo in New Delhi
    Published: April 17 2004 5:00 | Last Updated: April 17 2004 5:00

This weekend, an Indian navy submarine will attempt to sink the HMS Exeter,a 4,820-tonne British destroyer sailing off southern India in the Bay of Bengal.
    😉

This is not an outburst of hostilities but a war-game: an exercise seen as “a stepping stone” to international co-operation between the Indian and British navies, said Nick Spiller, a British officer on board the Exeter.

These naval exercises come in a week where India hosted US and French armed forces in separate manoeuvres, part of the most intensive series of military exercises India has held since the end of the cold war.

In an operation that one US officer likened to the Vietnam war, US and Indian soldiers today finish a week’s training in guerrilla warfare at India’s Counter-Insurgency Jungle Warfare School.

The school, in India’s remote mountainous state of Mizoram, trained about 100 Alaska-based infantry and 120 Indian soldiers in “low- intensity” warfare. Their drills included survival training, such as making traps to catch monkeys 😀 and rescuing a hostage from armed insurgents

Unkil will not be happy. Defence sales are what keeps the american contractors humming and prosperous. EU fielding a wide range of quality equipment is a bad sign for US dominance.

rich buyers like saudi arabia, taiwan. s.korea and japan are
now vital for the cash flow.

methinks they will push the F22 to japan now that korea has
got F15K, the case will be made japan needs something better.

one option is get rid of the APG66 for the RC400 which is anyway
going to be on FC-1. RC400 is better than the old APG66.

That way F16s can also use SD-10 later.

if PAF really goes ahead and buys this product, indicates the SD-10 is not ready for prime time show. the specs of SD-10 are far better than PL-11.

But wouldnt Raytheon need the details of the PL-11 to let the
APG66 radar guide this thing ?

Actually I did too many gymnastics. the US can just refuse to accept shipments from china (shoot the protesters outside walmart pining for their stuff…*sniff sniff*) , enforce a oil blocade to china in the indian ocean and sit back and watch the chaos.

    Can I also include Japans ~100 P3C Orions ? 😀

USN+USAF will destroy PLAN and some of PLAAF in say a months
time. Most of china’s valuable industries along the coast would also be attacked by cruise missiles and ofcourse that $100b trade surplus with US would be kept in abeyance.

    Your move next.

Topol-M has the thrust and space to be a MIRV but deliberately
restricted to one warhead + decoys.

These kind of TELS have 2 or 3 axle steering at the front dont
they? so they are surprisingly nimble compared to how they look.

NYC garbage trucks use that principle too 😀

can this missile be the DF31 on a more rugged TEL ? has anyone
compared the sizes to photos of the DF31 ?
