You didn’t. It was others earlier on. Did I say you had?

I suggested nothing of the sort. I am saying that I find little in the way of humour in filling in government forms with crap. Mainly because it’s a bit like all of those “comedians” who used to put Mickey Mouse or whatever on ballot papers. It’s old, been done hundreds of times before and wasn’t that funny in the first place.
Obviously some find that sort of thing hilarious – I don’t.
Same with the rest of your post really. Shame. Must have taken ages to type it all as well….

Actually by telling me to “lighten up”, that is telling me what I should find funny.

As predictable as the rising sun, charliehunt has a go at the BBC.

But well done for agreeing with what I said in post #4.

DerekF hasn’t made any friends yet (see his public profile).

Come on, Derek, lighten up for Jedi’s/God’s/Insert any other’s sake!

That’s odd, You’ve been a member for 3 years longer than me and you haven’t got any “friends” on here either. 🙂

Ah, the “you’ve got no sense of humour” argument. I find that my sense of humour is fine. It needs things that are actually funny though. And I’m not sure the officials who analyzed the data thought it was hilarious that some numpties put “Jedi ” on an official form. Why can’t people just do as they’re asked rather than try and be clever (and failing)

Some people have faith to help them get through the day. I don’t but I wouldn’t make fun of those who do.

The census question about religion was optional and and has a box for “no religion”. Presumably putting “Jedi” was done to appear to be big and clever, not realizing it actually suggests the opposite.

It sounded to me that the church was rather despairing that that was what the law now allowed. I don’t think it was approval for any idiot who claims to be Jedi or from the Flat Earth Society to conduct ceremonies , rather pointing out that it was now possible and probably likely that some sad characters would think that it’s big and clever to have such a ceremony.

Certainly claiming you’re Jedi puts you in a certain category as far as I’m concerned.
