Why make a statement yourself, then expect me to Google it.
The truth of the matter is, you just can’t substantiate the question yourself, can you?.

    Jim.
    Lincoln .7

It was your statement not mine.

    Sheesh…..

    No, I don’t think so.

Here’s a link that might help though.

John Green, You really don’t read what’s put in front of you. Go away, do some research of your own instead of expecting others to do it for you then come back and make an informed opinion. Or better still, just go away.

Oh by the way the country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or UK for short. OK? It matters not what you prefer, that’s the name of the country. (I can’t believe you have even made point about the name of the flipping country now!)

Lincoln 7, Silly? You’re the one who suggested we don’t send money to places where civil wars are happening. I would suggest that they are the places that are in most need of help. Anyway, how do you know it doesn’t reach those it is intended for?

That’s a fair effort Scott. My daughter’s school had a dress-up as a monster day -I haven’t heard how much they raised yet.

If you can find a charity in Lincolnshire and apply for a grant from Comic Relief, maybe they will give them some money. They don’t go around looking for places to give money to, you have to apply for it.

But you’re right about the civil wars though. We should stop sending money there and just the let the children die. Is that what you want?

    Honestly, I despair at times.:(

That’s right. 40% on the UK, 60% on admin.

    Oh wait, what about Africa?

Oh that’s right, the other 60% is spent in Africa.

    It’s all here.

I was going to write a great long reply about the great things that humans have achieved by working together, turning wasteland into farmland, sending men to the moon, changing the face of the planet into cities, etc…. but I can’t be bothered any more.

I don’t need to advise you of anything. You can Google it yourself (Oh wait, you don’t trust Google do you?).

    Comic relief accounts

John Green, you carry on being bitter, twisted, cynical and paranoid. I, and by the sounds of it many others, will help where we can. Not just Comic Relief charities, which, as you’ll have noticed spend a large proportion of money in the UK, but other charities as well.

Here’s a link to the UK projects that Comic Relief supports.

    Comic Relief in the UK

Providing tetanus inoculations or mosquito nets is hardly papering over the cracks. When the health services in Africa stop treating totally preventable diseases then maybe they could concentrate on improvements to the whole system.
