Just out of curiosity, 5 people have so far voted for Eastern Airways as their favourite regional. Have all 5 of you flown on Eastern Airways?
Saab – G-RUNG is so called because it is actually owned by a Mr Rungveld!
I’m pretty fortunate in that I can do just about all things DIY. The thing that took me longest to master was definitely plastering but I’m pretty proud of my downstairs cloakroom at the moment!

I can’t remember the type but there is/was a Swedish commercial aircraft with the reg SE-KSI. I always liked that one (if you get it!).
My check in friend is coming for lunch tomorrow so I will find out more. Good job the new working conditions haven’t been enforced yet or they could make her lose her day off with no notice and ruin my lunch! It takes a brave man to come between me and my lunch!
I believe there is an access panel for the hydraulics in that position and as I’m sure you are well aware with things like brake fluid, hydraulic fluid is very corrosive.
Very nice but I think you’d find the cost prohibitive to transfer the faded blue/white background onto the real aircraft.
It has been a problem on most of the fleet. It’s to do with the reaction between hydraulic fluid seepage and the sticker on the fin. New transparancies with a better, less reactive adhesive have been ordered and are being replaced as the aircraft go in for hangar based maintenance.
Whenever I see a 757 on approach the position of the gear always reminds me of an eagle just about to grab its prey! The first shot shows it well.
I was told by a BA T1 check in agent this afternoon that the reason the strike was so sudden was because they were told it would be ‘implemented tomorrow’! Nothing like a good bit of notice or negotiation.
BA recently made an application to the CAA to have their cabin crew compliment reduced BELOW the legal minimum. The CAA laughed them out of town! It’s not often I think the CAA have done well!
Thank you everybody. Great answers from both the electrical perspective and the point of view of obtaining the best lighting effects.
Just to let you know why I posted this question – I currently have 8 40W mains voltage spotlights in my kitchen totalling 320W. My wife (who has no interest in the electricity bill) seems to think that she can heat the house using these bulbs (ie she never thinks to turn them off) so I was wondering if I could lower my electricity bill (below that of Manchester United’s floodlight bill) by going over to a low voltage system. Obviously this is not the solution!

Okey dokey, time to confess. I’m on a weeks leave and the wife is making me catch up on all those DIY jobs!
Just getting back to the point, can anyone tell me what I should use Carlite Browning for?

Oh I see, thanks Shorty!
