For some strange reason I still get e-mails from TCX. They are talking about ops from Finningly (possibly with a based aircraft there). Excuse my geographical ignorance oop north but would that be convenient employment?

I had an opportunity to join Sabre a few years ago which ultimately became Excel. If I was an employee now I would definitely not be happy and would be looking elsewhere.

I remember staying a couple of days at the SAS Training Centre in Stockholm Arlanda when I did my last LPC on the Saab 340. I particularly remember the eye-opening TV that came on after midnight!!! IIRC SkyCruiser spent a month there…surprised he didn’t go blind!

I would like to know what their Flight Time Limitations agreement is. I know they are not under JAR but if they were they would be unable to exceed 18 hours duty at the planning stage regardless of any combination of inflight relief.

Really enjoyed reading every word. I think the sickness was nerves (as you said) but also mixed in with a massive level of concentration.

17 years ago I briefly worked for the Tiger Club at Redhill. In the cockpit of all their aircraft they had a placard offering the truest bit of advice ever given it said…

A340-600 is nearly 6 meters longer than the B747-400. The A380 is shorter than the A340-600 but I don’t know by how much.

Excellent. I think you’ll find it much more stimulating to fly alongside your study. It’ll be a constant reminder that all the classroom time is worth it in the end. Expect to do loads of cross country flying while hour building.
