    Bad Press Definately NOT needed!

After reading some of these negative po
sts I decided to pick up the phone and call Charles Ross at Binbrook to see how hard it would be to make contact. After about five rings he was there so I don’t know where you are getting your contact details from. He has had this number for a number of years!!!

After a long conversation, Charles has agreed for me to post on here.

Charles would like ANY aircraft engineers to come forward if they are willing to help especially any qualified or experianced Lightning technicians!

To contact him to help this deserving cause please PM me and I’ll pass on your details!

    Regards,

    Phil

That’ll be a hell of a lot of buckets!!!

    :D:D:D

I wonder why they have not started to think outside of the box for funding: they can’t use volunteers day to day, well why not change your funding model.

Display the aircraft at Airshows for free, but then have a massive team of volunteers with buckets collecting as the punters leave….or as she is flying.

    Well said Mr. Mills!!!

If the ball was in my court to reduce spending i’d….

1/ Ditch JSF F35 and keep reduced numbers of Harrier but also suppliment these with refirbished F/A-18C’s with updated avionics (maybe taken from Typhoon) and also refitted with EJ200

2/ Reduce Tornado GR4 numbers but on a rotational basis as is a proven ground attack aircraft.

3/ Keep all 9/12 Nimrod MRA4 as Maritime is a must!

4/ Early retirement of VC-10 and C-130K using civvie Omega in the short term.

Remember Tucano is also due for renewal in the not too distant future… What will happen here??

    Enter the ‘Toom’

This my friend, is an awesome idea!

Also, the bald guy is Cmdr. Tom ‘Stinger’ Jordan!

They should make a Top Gun prequel – with Tom Cruise playing the part of his father in the Vietnam war.

They could re-paint surviving QF-4 target drones to make up a Phantom Phleet (they would only need a couple for flying sequences anyway) and use the Collins Foundation F-4C’s to bring in a bit of USAF F-4 content for some extra colour.

There’s lots of surviving good quality colour F-4 carrier and other footage for splicing in some action. They could reproduce some of the fantastic high-vis F-4 schemes prevalent in the 60’s and 70’s and even include some surviving contemporary aircraft types for a bit of spice and realism, many of which survive in flying trim.

I think I read somewhere that nearly all the Tomcats are scrapped now so these are a no-no as well as being hugely expensive to operate if they did.

Bring back the Phantom in a last blaze of glory. They can borrow my F-4J for some in-cockpit shots:D

    How about it Mr. Bruckheimer?

    Anon.

    Trumpeter

    Ah Stuart……

Trumpeter are not far from releasing their 1/32 scale Buccaneer. I just hope it’s a big improvement over their Lightning which has many problems. So much so, I’d rather have the old Echelon vacform!
