No Northern Jaguars..
That was my thought Dave….
How many Jags are at Spadeadam?? I thought all went to Pembrey??
Sea Fury or just plain Fury…?
If it’s not a Sea Fury why does it have the designation FB.11 which is the model used by the Fleet Air Arm? The Iraqi Fury’s didn’t have this designation as far as I’m aware…
Also picture shows the aircraft with folded wings so it’s either not an Iraqi Fury OR it’s been retrofitted at some point in it’s past:

Description…?
Why is it described as a Hawker Fury and not a Hawker Sea Fury?? I was expecting to see a picture of a biplane!!
I know this Jag was stripped of spares at St Athan before heading to Sproughton (Everett) in Suffolk as a whole airframe. As far as I’m aware she is still there unless someone on here knows more. My records only go back to 2008 for her….
I dont think it’s XZ364 as this is still a complete airframe… More like a cockpit has been painted up to represent this aircraft. Anyone on here to confirm this?
Crackin!!!!
Yep, they are Jag Adour engines…
For the 2011 Airshow Season?
There is still some ‘bad press’ on here about the management of XH558. Maybe it’s justified, maybe it’s not BUT look at her… She puts a smile on our faces!!!
The following trailer has been posted on here before but thought I’d do so again to remind people why so much effort has gone into this bird.

Buffless
Ha-ha, yes – Very Good!!
So whats the story behind this olde ‘BUFF’?
Well I recognised this one ok!
Good Model!
Now thats what I call modelling!!
It’s good to see someone go to this level of work WITHOUT using aftermarket resin/white metal/etched brass enhancement sets..
Phil.
😉
I second that Peter!
Thumbs up
Looks good to me!
Now can you build me a 1/4 scale Gannet complete with counter rotating props??
Has counter rotating RC props ever been attempted?
Totally off key there but after seeing some of your stuff I’m pretty interested in what else you can achieve!
Phil.
Update?
As we have been on the subject of Lightnings…….. RE:XR724.
Any updates on this F.53 or has the onslaught of Winter started to slow things up a tad?
Looking on the link below, she really is looking well and can’t wait to see her fully steamed up on youtube!
Phil.
I think 724 is set to stay at Binbrook unless someone stumps up the cash to dismantle her properly for a move to a better site.
What site are you referring?? Leconfield??
Phil.
Cant help but think that the long term future for a machine like this could only be secured by putting her undercover . I can think of one place with a long association with the type that it would perfectly fit in but it would require vision and commitment from her current custodians.
