It is G-BSXD (146)
Hi Pagen,
The Canberra B2 is my mates aircraft. Her serial is WJ676 and she resides in the Hebburn area of Tyne & Wear. The Kraguj was restored by another mate of mine and resides at RAF Linton-on-Ouse along with an Isaccs Fury and a 3/4 scale Spitfire which is yet to fly. Hopefully these will turn up next year!
Not bad for a free event although the £5 donations were most appreciated!
I guess this forum will start to hear more about Eshott in the coming years 😉
Great pics Phil, especially like the Soko and Canberra cockpit, do you know where they reside normally?
Pleasant Feedback..
Thanks Blue 2,
Do you think any of you guys down at Elvington will be joining us in 2011?
Also, any contacts for people with vintage aircraft or ground exhibits like military vehicles would be great..
Thank again.
Regards,
Maybe a Harrier??
Just been looking over the post on the brilliant Harrier cockpit restoration.. Would it not be good to look at a Harrier GR3/T4 for ground running as they seem to go for less money than Jags?? Any thoughts guys??
Cheers!
Thanks for the compliment Steve!
We managed to raise nearly £1k more than last year for ‘Help For Hero’s’.
Next year should hopefully a bit bigger as we will carefully look at the dates of other events so as not to clash.
Maybe even a few warbirds for next year so watch this space…
Regards,
Phil.
Likewise 😀
Last ones until after the weekend!

Wrong Colours
As ever, this seems to be a more common subject area than ever before (Teasin Tina) and although we must not put down the fellows who volunteer their spare time to keep our aviation heritage alive, errors will still be made and commented on.
The Meteor F.8 colours should be:
Dark Sea Grey BS381C/638 (GLOSS)
Dark Green BS381C/241 (GLOSS)
The undersides should be a standard Aircraft Aluminium Silver.
Although the colours do look out, please do not be put off by the comments here guys – Keep Up The Good Work!!
We had a lot of interest on the WoN stand but no one mentioned that they had come from NEAM. Mind you the burgers were quite tasty so they may of ended up there 😀
Crackin Chris! Sorry I didn’t have much time to talk with you but as ever at events like this, I didn’t stop!
Ok, one last heads up guys..
Hopefully the wind will keep down this weekend for Northumberlands biggest fly-In.
Beer tent, BBQ and Wings Over Northumberland stand all set up.
Please come along for a crackin weekend!
Regards,
Phil.
Hopefully other participants will make up for her if she doesn’t get in…
Auster & Canberra now set up and in place with the Wings Over Northumberland stand 🙂
