Yeah, I don’t think 15 & 16 are ‘Meetbox’s’

These are the ones that I have found, I’m not entirely convinced by #15 &16.

17, thats four more than me… Where are the extra ones?

I make it 17 as one appears to have been put on a fire dump

I can only count twelve Meteors on the North side of the main runway and only one on the south side (fire dump)

Two of the Meteors appear to be long nose NF variants..

I have to Syria;

Two ex RAF T.7’s

Twelve production F.8

Seven ex RAF F.8

Two ex RAF FR.9

Six ex RAF NF.13

Thats actually XV426 but regardless of that she looks crackin. The RAF guys at Coltishall really did a fine job on her! Thanks for sharing that one keithnewsome

Oh yeah, and the FG.1/FGR.2 – FG1/FGR2 is the same thing I guess. It’s just how people like to put things down… I normally go for the former as can be seen in my title..

The C and N in this case are the same thing (Cockpit & Nose-section)

I took most of the information of the excellent ‘Demobbed’ website but deleted the aircraft that are no longer in the UK plus dates of the last updates.

I’m hoping that any further information gained on here can then be passed over to sites like demobbed to keep things as current as is possible..

The Salt 2 treaty still exists but not quite as forcefull as it once was. If a private museum made a decent case to acquire one with a plan of action to restore and keep VERY secure, things can happen. I think in the near future more Phantoms will end up going to good homes…

She is still there but not in the best of health! She is still definately worth saving though as not that far gone!
