My Sea Fury video has now put on its pipe and slippers, the DVD has come into service 🙂
Hopefully **** Steele and the Sandown team will stage another airshow again in the future. The show highlight of the year for me 🙂
Great shots from Sandown 🙂
It sounds like the aircraft that was with Everett Aero.
The RNHF’s Swordfish II LS326 is in its original 836NAS colour scheme for one.
Bournemouth at one time was a hive for airworthy Vampires with the Source Collection.
Sadly they are all in open store and up for sale.
The Vampire Preservation Society still base their immaculate T.11 WZ507 down there though!
De-Havilland Aviation also have a T.11, XE920 of course.
It must be a few years since the Gannet and Sea Vixen were out in the sunshine.
Top marks to the IWM 🙂
Paul Stone of course did the right thing in curtailing her display.
It’s basically a new aircraft with less then 10 hours on the engine, and less then 60 on the airframe since being rebuilt.
No risks should be taken with her.
It’s good to see the Sea Hawk got another airring though.
Just a shame that it’ll be six months until her next display 🙁
Watch out for a geniune ex-RAF Vampire FB.9 in the air a few years from now 🙂
He seemed to ‘go for it’ at Yeovilton too last month. Superb. One of, if not the, best display I have ever seen with a P51D.
Wow. I have been lucky enough to benefit like this as well.
Unwanted models being given away for free, or for a couple of pounds.
I got a very nice Spitfire VIII in Asia colours (same as SM832).
The serial is I believe MT719, and that rings a few bells?
Was she based in the UK for a time?

Two aircraft I grew up watching, that Fury was my favourite RNHF aircraft 🙁
Do you have a date for the Fury APG?
1. Hunter
2. Sea Hawk
3. Canberra
4. F-104
5. Venom (the RAF short nosed version, not the posh Swiss variant)
Just a quick Q. How many Hurricanes are airworthy now?
Not sure at the moment. I suspect both will go if they are serviceable.
