Highs for me
– Abingdon (VERY underated event)
– Being treated to several BBMF flypasts on D-Day over Southampton water.
– Sandown the same weekend (superb)
– Getting wet during Kemble’s showers 😉
– Ending my 14 year wait to see a RNHF Sea Fury fly again.
– Related to above, watching the RNHF Sea Fury and Sea Hawk perform a validation display on the Thursday before Yeovilton Air Day.
Paul Stone and Russ Eatwell, you are the men. 🙂
Perhaps they haven’t been keeping the CAA informed of progress?
As a result they think work has stopped? and have cancelledc the reg?
Has Cosford still got the Jet Provost prototype on display?
I *think* the Sunderland was indeed damaged in the Hurricane.
What or whos was the Silver Hunter in that pop video a few years back. I think it was someone like JK singing ?
That was the OFMC Hunter T.8C ‘XJ615’ (G-BWGL/XF357).
She’s now owned by Elvington Events Ltd.
Matthew,
I’m glad that all your months of hard work paid off 🙂
Judging by the comments I have read about the show, you got it dead right.
Just a shame I couldn’t attend, maybe next year?
Does anyone know how long the PRXIX will remain in that scheme?
I haven’t had a chance to see it as yet 🙁
I hope it goes well, and all the hard work doesn’t get compromised by the weather.
I can’t make it unfortunately, maybe next year.
..don’t forget the Jet Provost T.4 in ‘Red Pelicans’ scheme that also appears to live at Kemble. By the way, the ‘Yellowjacks’ Gnat is really XS102.
This aircraft, T3A XN459, now lives at North Weald under new ownership.
4FTS would compliment the Gnat!
No problem 🙂 Always glad to help.
Yes, T7 XL605 (later re-registered XX467) was used as a Blue Diamonds aircraft.
Exactly my feelings too dees01, well apart from the south dispersal bit 🙂
The Skyraider, Vampire, and Moth also mention.
I paid £16 for the ticket, which is a bit steep considering the price for Culdrose.
A Sea Fury and Firefly with droptanks? – Nice 🙂
What about Institute of Aviation Medicine Colours 🙂
silver and yellow training bands?
