I don’t think this is the right time to have this debate guys.

I found out by switching on sky news by chance.
It wasn’t very nice seeing footage like that of an aircraft that I have grown very fond of since I first experienced the sight and sound of it when I was four years of age.
I’m extremely annoyed at the coverage and the relentless loop on which it seems to be played. A complete disrespect to the two deceased crew and their friends and families.
My upmost sympathies go out to them.
I do not blame you Damien for not switching the TV on, I only wish I could have done that this afternoon 🙁

Sally B was parked on the dispersal at Bournemouth Airport today. Not sure why it was in Dorset, but she was rumoured to be leaving for Duxford either today or tomorrow.
Hope this is of interest.

Looks rather nice I must say. Well done to all at TFC for getting the aircraft ready for the show.

I don’t mind waiting, after all I have been waiting 13 years to see a ‘new’ RNHF Sea Fury fly 🙂

There is a pic of G-CBEL in the thread below

Who was flying the two “fleas” (the Gnats)?
Very nice pairs routine.

I have a Epson 1250 as well. No probs with it whatsoever.

When Mark Hanna was interviewed at a Flying Legends in front of G-BOML he told how Reg Hallam would conclude each of his flights in a Buchon.
Reg would climb out the cockpit, walk 100 yards away from the aircraft, turn around and say:
“You didn’t get me this time you little b*$*!$*”
Sadly as everyone knows Mark lost his life in G-BOML a couple of years after the interview.

It doesn’t really bother me when TFC finish the Fury, I just hope they have better luck with their Centaurus then the RNHF have had with theirs 🙁

Cracking pic gromit.
The ‘Fly is airworthy and its next display after Biggin will be at Kemble on the 15th June.
The Fury is awaiting its Centaurus back from rebuild by an outside contractor. They hope to have it flying by the tail end of the season.

The last time I saw it in the air before the recent May 11th encounter was April 1997, so six years in all was spent on the ground.
At the moment the volunteers at BAE-Systems at Brough are splitting their time with the major repairs to Mk.II LS326’s wings and the total rebuild to flying condition of Mk.III NF389.
At the moment I do not know when the projected completion date is for NF389, but will try and find out.

Around 1971 Hawker-Siddeley presented the Royal Navy with a Sea Fury FB.11 – TF956 which originally was to form part of the company’s own Historic Flight.
Of course it went on to star for the Navy version after rebuild from 1972 for the next 17 years 🙂
The Harts looks a really nice aircraft.
