Where on earth would you find enough spares to enable another RTF status Buccaneer, would be my main question.

I dont know much about Buccs other than theyre the best bird Blackburn ever built and Ive got one on me ceiling (1:72 LoL) are u saying u think theres only enough spares for 1 flying Bucc in the UK? :confused: Bex

Avion, right now I know where I was looking. My fault entirely, I wasnt expecting the present adventure place to be the same one as today. Now I know exactly where it was, in relation to your map, to be honest it really hasnt changed, so Sammy & I will venture forth into the Adventure Place but Im afraid you will have to wait until next week now for a photo, but a present day photo I will get LoL Bex

I wonder if theyve chopped the lane up with the car park then? The photo of the entrance to the car park I had my back to the main playing fields, bowling green was behind and to the right. Over to the right is a stables and park keepers area, to my left was a pavillion / toilets area. If u look at the photo of the fields & tractor, to my right is the pavillion thing, then a tarmac path which could be the original lane before the car park was there, then the other side of that is a line of trees with a new posh play area and some derelict land.

Cherry Lane 2007

Here are some photos taken this morning of Cherry Lane play park. Does anything look familar? Part of the place is now a Bowling Lawn, Allotments and another adventure area.

Well if the teams concerned do get called in, I hope they can get there in time and they can pull this off and help get the fires out. I for one wish them all the best and I hope the Greeks accept their offer sharpish. Bex

In my previous post I mentioned that it crashed on the IoW – perhaps I should have made it clearer that it was already in a non-airworthy state when it went to Salfords. I didn’t however know when I saw it there that the Salfords site was a pleasure ground. All is now revealed.

Ah all cleared up now. Gotta go shopping in the morning to get the rug rat out the house so he doesnt wake the other half so a little detour wont hurt and I like history so we’ll find out tomorrow if its still a play ground or housing estate 😀 Bex
