Haven’t there been countless studies suggesting that those who indulge in animal cruelty are also the most likely to indulge in cruelty/violence to humans ?

Only if youre NOT a US Marine by the look of it, it would seem they are immune against that. 😀 Bex

P.s: This statement is meant as sarcasm BTW.

You made assumptions about djcross not having been near loud noises.

Ah, that wasnt an assumption, that was a poor choice of words, for this I appollogise, I let sarcasm get in the way of sensible response to his “assumption”, thank you for point out my error.

As for the goat, shall we agree to disagree? 😀 Bex

Last time I checked neither the ASPCA or the RSPCA had any authority in Afghanistan. But seeing as you raised the issue I wonder how such organisations would feel to witness said goat later be slaughtered with a blunt knife in order to provide food for its owner- welcome to Afghanistan, it happens.

You realy should not make assumptions about people on the internet as you have no idea who you are talking to- just a bit of advice for the future.;)

Ok point taken about the authority of the ASPCA / RSPCA. However last time I check, the Taliban werent recruiting goats.

As for your last statement, could you please explain this so called “assumption” you seem to think Ive made, coz I dont think Ive made any assumptions, just comments and or opinions. Bex

the goat does not die. It just gets a little bit scared by a very small explosion. Secondly its a goat

Interesting view for animal cruelty, the courts might disagree, and Im pretty sure both the RSPCA & the ASPCA would too. Just a thought.

    Next bit then:

Those same posters would probably be brought to tears if someone popped a toy helium balloon in their presence.

Hmm ever had a 5.56mm blank fired at point blank range into your ear? Guess not, ever had a thunderflash explode 6 inches from your hand? Guess not. Given the choice Id rather someone had popped a toy helium balloon instead but it wasnt to be.

But ask yourself this? What had that goat done to those US soldiers? Probably naff all.

I dont condone any forms of terrorism, never have never will. There are ways and means of getting across your point, in order to do so you remain within the law. Whichever way you look at it they broke the law of the land, and agreed using not exactly the most intelligent methods, by then risking the lives of the aircrew, goundcrew and many civillians in the surrounding areas. Lets be honest here, we all know basics about B52’s and a fully loaded one going bang over a large area of population is a really scary thought. As far as Im concerned, they deserve everything they got, theyre bl00dy lucky they didnt get shot and at the end of the day, they only have themselves to blame.

DJJ, I thought youre original comment was hilarious, I wish I could think up humourous comments like that, and if anyone thinks otherwise, well they need a sense of humour transplant.

tbyguy, your statement “My contention is that if you throw objects (or congregate by those who do) at arms-bearing authorities, it is quite probable you may be fired upon.” is totally spot on, it happens throughout the world, in most cases it then causes outcry, but then what happened to common sense?

Kenbo I have never had cause to disagree with you and found your posts humourous and enlightening, however, I wouldnt use someones use of English Language & Grammar as a basis on which to assume someones educational background. I reckon there might be a surprise or two, I for one though Ive got a right nasty riddle for the answer!!!

I was under the impression that “Winning the hearts & minds” was one of the objectives in both Afghanistan & Iraq, well childish behaviour like that isnt got win anything apart from the owner of the goat possibly supporting the Taliban.

If the Americans are recruiting idiots like that then god help us all. One question, what do u mean by “trolling” ?

Pete, we might not always agree, but, well done for informing the US Authorities about this video.
