Even after the Jihadi coalition strikes on Syrian airbase to protect their ground units, the process of destroying the jihadis is on going. The missile strike on the base destroyed some of the weapons stocks (delaying tactics) used to fight the terrorists which gave the terrorists some breathing space and launch an attack on the base.
The Syrian forces with the help of VKS/SyAAF have recaptured Mardees even though the Jihadi coalition tried every possible way to delay the advance of the ground units.

Quoting article posted in previous page. This was known along but what did the stupid Russian media, particularly the English language RT do to get it across the world? Nothing. And now when everything has happened the reports starts coming out about chemical facilities.
Of the 12 facilities that were used for storage and production of chemical weapons inside Syria –
– Syrian Govt – 10 (eliminated under a Russia brokered deal)
– Moderate terrorists – 2
The responsibility of the two chemical facilities lies with the French/US/Turkey/Israel/UK/etc who support the moderate terrorists. If the terrorists are still using the chemicals inside Syrian soul, it has to be with active/passive support/knowledge of these regimes.
The General Staff of the Russian Federation: the territory of the opposition in Syria has two facilities for the production of chemical weapons
Подробнее на ТАСС:
http://tass.ru/politika/4173903Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoy.
“Of the 12 facilities that were used for storage and production of chemical weapons, the OPCW experts (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons – approx Tass.) Confirmed the destruction of 10 to the remaining two objects Syrian authorities do not have access, because they are on the territory controlled by the so-called opposition . For this reason, the OPCW can not confirm the destruction of chemical weapons at them, “- he said.
Rudskoy recalled that from 2013 to 2016 under the control of the OPCW special equipment of production facilities for chemical weapons were inoperable, and all their means of delivery have been eliminated.
“Stocks of toxic chemicals were loaded onto an American ship” Cape Ray “and then disposed of in the US companies, the UK, Finland and Germany”, – said Russian general.
At the same time, he noted that the international inspectors have carried out additional checks of a number of Syrian facilities that were not related to the production and storage of chemical weapons. “The facts of the production or the presence of toxic substances to them also have been identified,” – he said.
Rudskoy also stressed that Syria, as a party to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, fulfilled its obligations and eliminate all the special equipment for the production of chemical weapons housings warheads missiles, bombs and stocks of toxic chemicals. “This fact has been documented and confirmed by officials of the OPCW It reflects that Syria has chemical weapons.”, – he said.
Chief of General Staff of the operational management also said that the Syrian army is successful offensive against the terrorists, so she had no need to apply any sending material not found in the government forces.
“In these circumstances, the government of Bashar al-Assad is no need to use chemical weapons Especially since it from the Syrian army there.” – he said.’
According to him, the terrorists and so suffer defeat after defeat and leave the territory they controlled under the blows of the Syrian army.
Chemical weapons handicrafts
According Rudskoy terrorists used chemical weapons in Syria, including handicrafts.
“At the same time recorded cases of militants of chemical weapons, including home-made According to some of these investigative materials transferred to the OPCW representatives.”, – he said.
Rudskoy reminded that the November 16, 2016 the Ministry of Defense experts in the area of Marret-Umm Haouch in the province of Aleppo examined an unexploded mortar shell handicraft production of 240-mm caliber, which militants have used against civilians. Russian experts have confirmed that it was poisonous substance blister agents such as mustard gas.
“The results of studies in January 2017 were transferred to the OPCW representatives of the Syrian national body exercising functions under the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons”, – the general added.
As Rudskoy said militants are imported toxic substances in several areas of Syria in order to provoke new US strikes on Syria.
“According to our information, the militants are now imported in the areas of Khan Shaykhun, airfield Jira, Eastern Guta and west of the city of Aleppo toxic substances. The purpose of these actions is to create another reason for the Syrian government of allegations of use of chemical weapons and provoking new US attacks “- Rudskoy said.
“Be warned about the inadmissibility of such steps,” – said the general.
The mystery of the mysterious containers has been settled earlier itself, here is a Russian report on (one of) those containers that was seen around the airbase. But as usual faithfools were always ready to endorse any vomit by the propaganda machinery when everyone else outside of it could see it was all lies on the word go. Yet we have brainless experts who believe every single word that Jihadi coalition has to say about that missile strike, without even raising an element of doubt.
Russia and Iran have given a warning to the Jihadi coalition that they would respond with force next time if they violated the red lines.
But reading out warnings is not whats needed, whats needed is arming Syria and allies to fight the multi-national terrorists and proper AD assets to defend themselves and offensive weapons to deter and strike the Jihadi coalition if the need arise.
Flush the crap UN resolutions and whats needed is proper financial deals to sell weapons to allies.
Here the only ally who is ready to fight and with required manpower/resources is Iran.
Iran has the cash and also in need of modern weapons and Russia should open up and be ready to sell whatever is required by Iran.
So sell them all those weapons needed and make the alliance stronger, this will also take some of the military burden off Russia’s back.
Shy away from arming and equipping your only allies now and Russia will regret it later, when no one will be there to shoulder your burden and fight alongside. But then the fight will be much close to Russian borders and probably inside the borders. Its Russia’s choice to decide if they want to pickup that inevitable fight inside its borders or neutralize the threat away from its borders.
Flying-time for TLAM from ship to target would have been around 15 minutes, assuming a minimum great-circle distance of 130 nm and ignoring any detours or jinks.
These are not multi-Mach ballistic missiles, just small aeroplanes that fly fairly quickly at low altitude. For comparison their penetration speed of around 500 knots is slower than that of a Tornado loaded with JP233 which aimed for a minimum of 540, despite the drag. With slick ordnance they could push up to the mid 600s.
Oops, my mistake. Have changed it accordingly. So the flight time was probably in the region of 15-19 minutes and that was probably the only reaction time that was available to the Russians/Syrians before the cm reached the base.
Jangobango@
US did notify Russia 1 hour through the deconflict channel. And none of those Cruisemissiles flew over any Russian Base. They came over Lebanon airspace from Greece where they was launched.
I have not heard the Russian MoD confirming it. All I have heard is the media (incl Russian) quoting the us press release.
So you don’t think that is the intention of elements within the Russian Ministry of Defence to deceive and downplay the strike? This is simply embarrassing from Major-General Igor Konashenkov. This is why I take his “23” claim with a huge pinch of salt.
If Russian had the intend to downplay this strike, so did the US in portraying it as a complete success. That much pressure was there on Donald Trump and he finally had to unload it to appease the nuts back home and release some pressure off him from the warmongers and media.
You see, he is no more a pssy grabber, white racist, idiot and what not he was earlier.
It is a wonder that he can say it with a straight face? 🙂
Probably for a moment he took murican standards.
Konashenkov states at 4:20 seconds. “Both parking places and aircraft were not damaged”
You can also read it like this….. both parking places and aircraft’s used by the Syrian/Russian forces in their fight against terrorists were not destroyed. i.e the strike did not destroy the Syrian AF ability to carry out operations against the multi-national terrorists.
MHO regarding the strike itself.
– I don’t believe a bit about the muricans having informed the Russians prior to the strike. The strike itself was a surprise for the Russians themselves, thats how I read it.
– As per what was reported, the flight time from the launch platform to the target area would have been 15-19 minutes and the entire strike lasted about approx 15 mins (3.42 to 3.56 MSK). This was a good saturated launch with minimum time intervals. So those 15-19 minutes was probably the only reaction time that was available to the Russian/Syrians before the cm reached the base.
– The cruise missiles bypassed both Russian bases and probably beyond the effective range of the Pantsir-S1 deployed. Btw, how many are deployed by Russia in Tartous? S-300/400 are for long rangers and there is a definite need to bring in medium range AD like the Buk-M2/M3 into the theatre to face such threats.
– If I’m not wrong, the strike this time came much earlier after the usual demo at the UN by the oldest demo-crazy, which contributed to the element of surprise.
– Russia certainly would have got a hint of the suspicious activity going on in the area with its array of sensors and assets and notified the Syrians regarding the same and both probably took some precautionary measures. But neither Russia nor Syria had any specfic intelligence regarding an imminent strike.
– Thats probably the reason why the Syrians kept a minimum of active a/c in the base and probably explains why those QRF of MiG-23 were still inside their hangers (not sure if those were under maintenance) and the AD units was still manned but probably on a lower/peacetime gaurd. Same goes for the Russian AD units in Latakia and Tartus.
– Jihadi coalition knows that Russians are not stupid and they too have their eyes and ears in the area to sniff and might have got some sort of info (though not specific) and probably the reason why they incorporated “informed Russia” sort of wordings in the press release. After all, if they had not included those wordings, the low destruction of Syrian combat a/c in the airbase would have been an utter embarrassment for the Jihadi coalition. So they played it safe for people/experts to say that…the Russians and Syrian was informed prior so they moved out their aircraft’s.
– Jihadi coalition never does anything to minimize the effects of their strike, their only consideration during any action is to create maximum destruction! That was the reason why in the first hours of the strike we saw the BDA assessment reports being let out through faithfools in the media that the Syrian airbase was completely destroyed. It was in reaction to this ridiculous assessment that Russian MoD came up with the press release and also the Russian/Syrian media came with pictures/videos of the airbase, which I think was premature and unwanted.
– If the Russians/Syrians managed to prevent a larger destruction of their aircraft’s in this strike which had an element of surprise, it is probably due to the precautionary measures taken by the Russians based on vague info/intelligence they collected and not due to any murican largess.
Whats not in doubt is that Russia needs to beef up its forces and strengthen Russian/Syrian AD units in Syria. There is a need to fill in the gap between the point-defense like Pantsir-S1 and long-rangers like the S-300/400 to effectively deal with the kind of barrage unleased by the Jihadi coalition. There is specific range of envelop for each system and the medium rangers need to be there to fill in a critical gap.
Some experts want to pass off the destroyed MiG-23 as Su-24, I don’t know how they can even mistook a MiG-23 from a Su-24 which look completely different, particularly when the nose of the destroyed aircraft is clearly visible.
Syrian AF MiG-23

It does not really require a rocket scientist to solve this.. There are no “US lies” or “Russian lies”.. it’s simply a matter of interpretation..
– if Americans say 58 out of 59 Tomahawks hit the target, they are most likely right.. 58 Tomahawks seem to have hit the air base..
– if Russians say 23 out of 59 Tomahawks hit the targets, they are right, too. 23 missiles could have hit something at least remotely valuable, the rest were spent on piles of rubble, rusty fuel tanks or concrete pathways.Take this photo for example..
Western media would write – 3 of 3 hits !! The Tomahawks have striked with unparalleled accuracy !!
Russian media would write – 1 hit, 2 missed !! Only one missile out of three has managed to hit the shelter !! (which was empty, BTW)Neither side is lying, this is how propaganda works.. an outright lie will get you caught, you just don’t do this.. half-truths are much better as they leave plenty of room for later interpretation.. US can only work with sat pics, these are kinda deceiving as they show the splashes but they won’t tell you that nothing valuable has been achieved.. Russians know it, that is why they have rushed in reporter teams to show the real damage.. and it’s funny to see the western press grasping at straws and reposting those two burned Fitters over and over.. suddenly, even Sputnik news are good enough for them as a source..
Anyway, the attack shows several things.. a) the Tomahawk missile is a reliable and accurate weapon.. b) Trump definitely did not have intention to destroy Sheyrat or even impair the ability of SyAAF to strike against the IS c) there were no chem weapon storages on Sheyrat. since the US do not intent to carry out any more strikes, it wasn’t Assad’s work and US intel is well aware of it..
BTW, I am still struggling with the US claim that 20 aircraft have been destroyed.. the images only show two.. where is the rest? I have serious doubts that the whole air base even hosted that many operational aircraft..
Nuff said.. nothing more to see here, move on..
+1. Very good post!
The Jihadi coalition figures have different figures for the cruise missiles.
– 60 launched, 1 fell into the sea
– 58 of the 59 hit the targets.
Regarding the a/c
– muricans claim, they destroyed 20 a/c
– Russian militar says 6 x MIG-23 were destroyed.
(Also, all information is based on translated version of what the Russian spokesperson said. So whatever he meant and said in that statements when reporting in English will also depend on the accuracy of the translation.)
– Syrians (unofficial) say, a total of 9 aircraft’s were lost in the strike.
SAA losses in Shaa’yrat AFB : 5 x Su-22M3, 1 x Su-22M4, 3 x Mig-23ML, 1 x Sa-6 radar, M600 missile launcher and some artillery pieces.

Yes one guy not wearing a medical mask totally proves your point. On a serious note, in the event you ever are exposed to sarin gas, don’t grab a medical mask to protect yourself. Spoiler alert, you will die.
So can you confirm that those 5-6 moderate Jihadis wearing those mask is now dead?
Has anyone seen this video clip earlier in any exercise or in prior conflicts? If not this could actually be the latest as we see those full rate disposal of ammo on the incoming/bypassing targets and the sirens in the background.

The Jihadi alliance is onto something in the northeast of Syria as their drones were over Syrian base at Al-Qamishli. The Syrian forces fired upon the drone which led them to clear the airspace.

1/ To recap on these mystery containers. they are for sub-munition cassettes for the KMGU dispenser.
2/ The KMGU is a dispenser, rather than a bomb. It can carry a variety of cassettes which eject different sub-munitions
3/ The cassettes are called BKFs (БКФ), and are transported in our mystery container, which is marked to indicate what BKF is inside. (This is what Scar posted above showing what was the stuff carried inside those containers)
4/ This is for has BKFs loaded with PMF-1S (ПМФ-1С) anti-personnel “butterfly” mines. (From a 2015 Belarusian paper on landmine destruction)
5/ These ones carry BKFs loaded with P’s (hence БКФ-П). No idea what a P is. I do know what R-55 is, though – Soman, a nerve gas.
6/8 The KMGU has many nasty sub-munitions, but only a few are for chemical weapons, and I doubt Russia was willing to sell those to Syria.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C83wcKHVYAAdJIJ.jpg
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C83wfkzUMAEPLL8.jpg7/8 Therefore, the presence of these containers at Sharyat air base is not necessarily connected with Syria’s use of chemical weapons.
8/8 OTOH, if these containers ARE related to Syria’s CW use, then it MAY imply Russian complicity in Syria’s CW program. (THIS IS UNLIKELY)
The faithfool morons need to understand that the BKF is designated as per the contents inside. And here its having the R-55 (written in Russian as P-55)

The empty BKF containers from Shayrat, it is clearly view that it was filled with “AO-2,5RT”.
An Oscar attempt from Al Jihadist reporting from chemical weapons usage site…

I think their reaction tells us all we need to know.
If Trump was sending a message it is safe to say it was received loud and clear.
Yes,
70+ in the early phase of the show,
59 as time passed by and
after Russian MoD released a figure of 23/59,
the ministry of truth release their own figure of 58/59. 😀
No matter how small or big the cruise missiles hit, this is a serious matter and it need to be payed back. Either the drones flying inside the Syrian airspace which have enjoyed a lot of freedom courtesy the US-Russia memo on de-conflict or the aircrafts.
The video of the base from Russian drone during the events.
Here is a video related to earlier deployment of Kuznetsov strike group to Syrian shores. I couldn’t find the original video.
Hope the so-called experts who always like to criticize Kuznetsov for needing a tug on its deployment can see what all the multi-purpose tug does at sea.

Its business as usual for the Syrian/Russian forces in their fight against murican allies. The fight against the IS and other Jihadis continue. Earlier, Russian gunships like Ka-52 also went hunting the murican allies who tried to attack Syrian positions after their allied forces struck the base. Unfortunately, for the allies, a Deir-Ez-Zor like advance was not achieved.
