a police officer killed a mother in front of her kids not far from where i live after a motorcycle he was riding at speed and dangerously hit a car then hit them ..
the motorcycle was not taxed therefore should not have been on the road in the first place
come court day he got off extremely leniently
to me in the job he was in he should have been whiter than white as he would have been trying to get you or i the heaviest sentence possible therefore he should have been sentenced heavily
it is a joke that the family of the woman watched him leave court a free man
a big shake up of the police and justice system is long over due
and the sooner they get on with sorting crime out rather than working out how to get cash off the day to day public cannot come soon enough !!

For locos, go to Bachman.
I think that the following ethos should be followed – for expensive toys, go to Hornby. For Model railway stock, go to anyone else.
hhhhmmmmmm !!! you do realise hornby is now made in china the same as bachman ( the standards are so close probably both come from the same source ) airfix kits also come from china as airfix is now owned by hornby hobbies
this is new hornby same as bachman new locos are no longer tender drives they are back in the loco ala bachman ( ironicly the same chassis as airfix model railways used !!

dunno what trackwork and points you are using but if it is hornby and if it is like thier track of old before you get into to serious a project bin it and use peco track peco is 100% better if hornby still use the same c**p hold hornby points in one hand and peco in the other and you’ll see and feel the difrence instantly

my last layout was 21′ x 5.5 ‘ it had 4 lines all the way round and had a raised town on one end with tunnels underneath i have photo’s somewhere when i get chance i’ll add them on i keep thinking i’ll have a go again as i still have all the figures i painted( quite a few to cover 21 feet x 5.5 feet
but scenic materials , paints and locomotives/rolling stock have improved 100%
alas hornby are now made in china but since that move hornbys steam loco detail has jumped ten fold hornby are now models rather than toys unfortunately prices reflect this though when i built my last layout a mainline steam loco was about 50 quid for something nice expect to pay 150-200 now
