With how important the Persian Gulf is to the world I would think upgrading the Iraqi navy would be a top priority. I know it wwould take some years to get the personel properly trained but I do not think it will take a decade. The new Nakhoda Ragam Class ships would be a great asset in protecting Iraq’s oil and shipping lanes. They could be purchased and based outside the country and cadets could start training on them immediately.

Why are Portugal’s submarines named Type-209 Class when they are really Type-214 Class submarines??

    BAMSE

“The BAMSE itself is a fine missile, but it just wasn’t suited for this particular application. So far as I know, however, its adoption by other arms of the Swedish military continues unabated.”

In September 2007, the Swedish Government cut funding for the BAMSE missile in the 2008 budget, putting the programme on hold.

I bet the Ex-Gorshkov because some drunk Russian worker will leave a blow torch by his bottle of vodka and burn the whole ship down! Any other theories how this will end?

Malaysia seemed like a perfect place for these ships. Malaysia could cut back on the number of Meko A100 class corvettes to fund these three ships.

The Phillippines would also be a great place for these ships.

Brazil and Chile are the only other countries that may be interested in these ships.

UCAVs will replace F-35 and F/A-18E in the future. The Boeing X-45 is the future of Naval Aviation

    Fins

Like the Swedes and the Norwegians, the Fins use a digital camo on their Hamina Class Attack Craft.

    Two Rugers!

Here is my soon to be wife’s deer hunting rifle. It is a Ruger M77 MK.II and is chambered for the 6.5×55 swede round.

The handgun is my Ruger KGP-100 chambered for the .357 magnum. It is all stainless steel with a six inch barrel and adjustable sights.
